Kaytee Walnut Litter 18L

Had two parakeets die after starting to use this, can’t 100% day if it’s this litter but it’s the only thing that was new. Talk to your vet first!!

The product itself is perfectly fine. I didnt notice any bug eggs or larvea inside of it like I have with the brand at the pet shop. Just.... be a little cautious when buying it and having it shipped to you. The item is small and heavy, so in my case the box it was packaged in was badly damaged and the plastic bag holding the walnut shells had a 1 hole by the time it got to me. It was small enough that it didnt make a huge mess until I pulled the bag out of the box, but it made a huge mess in my kitchen. Other than that, Im happy with it. Good quality walnut shells.

Other than the bag arriving damaged, this is a good product. Would like to see a more durable bag with a ziploc feature to keep the tiny litter particles in the bag between uses.

I tried several types of bird litter before finding this one. This is perfect for my cockatiel’s cage! I like how it looks better than the larger pellets or other options and didn’t notice a scent like I did with others.

These meal worms are a nice size. Not extra large like I was looking for, but my birds are eating them fine, so they must be pretty good. They wee packed in a soft plastic bag, so many more were broken than when they are packed in a cardboard box.

I am using this for tumbling media, for handgun brass. Works great, at a decent price.

This is a great product for keeping the bird cage clean! Have a large bird cage with 2 lovebird and keeping the cage clean is so easy and mess free with this walnut litter. It spreads easily when poured in and pours out easily into a trash bag when cleaning the cage. This litter also does a great job in keeping the cage smelling clean all the time and the walnut granules are heavy so it doesnt fly out of the cage when the birds are flapping around.

Absorbs smells so much better than the corncob and lizard sand I had been using. Safe for birds, easy to sift.

I bought this for a sewing project. They make lovely stuffing for pin cushions. It makes the cushion easy to stuff and is easy to see with.
