12-11-20247 years ago in March 2016 I built my first PC and decided to get the flagship I7-6700K at the time. Deemed to be future proof for 5+ years, which was in fact was true.

> 3 dayComing from an AMD Ryzen 3700X. For my workflow and use (heavy video editing/rendering & general computing), this CPU rocks. I was surprised to see some operations taking half the time to complete. The difference between waiting a half hour instead of an entire hour is a game-changer for me.

> 3 dayThis CPU replaced a defective i5 I bought and I couldn’t be happier. It runs fast and pretty cool for my work load and moderate gaming. The price was a steal. If you plan on serious gaming make sure you have decent cooling.

> 3 dayMany people can argue AMD this or AMD that, or Intel i9, but if youre wanting something to start off at the high-end level, I would highly recommend this CPU. Granted, you should get a good CPU cooler or a decent liquid cooler that will keep the CPU cold. Other than that, this offers great performance despite the cost.

> 3 dayYou wont find any DDR5 you have to spend on DDR4. No upgrade path if you want future CPU. Beware of the TDP it might be too much for a basic cooler.
