Amazing upgrade from Gen 4

This CPU replaced a defective i5 I bought and I couldn’t be happier. It runs fast and pretty cool for my work load and moderate gaming. The price was a steal. If you plan on serious gaming make sure you have decent cooling.

Believe it or not, but under that huge cooler is the Intel Core i7-12700K processor. While I intend to later upgrade to discrete graphics, initially I am using the GPU that is internal to the processor. It was satisfying when I threw the switch the first time and everything just worked. The GPU was powerful enough to run some virtual world software that I use at a good frame rate. I believe I made the right choice in this processor.

This is the most anyone should need for a while as of 2022 (at least for gaming).

Hovers around 30° even while playing games on high graphics all night even with my cheap cooling fan, no problem keeping up with many programs open I don’t think I’ve seen it past 12% use in task manager so far

This CPU is fast! Its great. Just be careful when youre inserting it into the motherboard and you should be good to go. It runs at a decent temperature in my Fractal case with Arctic 280 AIO. No bottlenecking in my games paired with DDR5 and a 3080 12GB GPU.

Muy buen Procesador, rapido y confiable, pero necesaita un ventilador especial que hay que seleccionar con cuidado y que no viene con el procesador ni da una idea clara para seleccionar
