iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit

OK, this is a toolkit, and the star ratings are for Suction power, Value for Money, and Adhesion. Well, okay then. It doesnt suck, so suction power is zero. Value for money is great, $60. Adhesion: I threw it at a wall and it didnt stick, so zero. *If* you need to dismantle cell phones, this is the kit for you. Many many quality bits, most of which Ill never use, but its good to have them. Overall Id rate this at 100%. I like the kit and like the company.

I bought this kit, not jus to work on my devices, but to also work on some of my equipment at work. This kit has everything I need and Im very pleased with it.

Habe schon einige Reparaturen damit durchgeführt und ich muss sagen das es echt eine gute Qualität hat. Bis jetzt noch nichts abgebrochen oder verhunzt. Passgenauigkeit des Werkzeugs ist auch wunderbar. So muss das sein. (selbst gekauft und ehrliche Meinung)

I bought this after a co-worker raved about the kit. He is an apple certified tech and has used his kit numerous on the the job to repair/replace iPhones. I picked this up because I have an older samsung tablet that I found out one day could be taken apart and a larger hard drive installed. This kit came with all the tools needed to pry the cover off and remove the tiny screws. I especially love the rubber screwdriver extension piece. I have used that numerous times to get into hard to reach places on desktop computers in the office. The only downside so far is that the case that the screwdriver bits comes in is magnetic. I have been known to be clumsy some times. One of those times was when carrying the screwdriver bit holder. It hit the ground and the magnets split apart which left all the bits to go flying all over the place. Not a big deal. I now carry the kit around with a couple rubber bands around the case for added closure support.

This kit comes with all the bits and drivers you will need to take anything apart from smart phones to tablets to gaming consoles plus more. If you enjoy fixing things yourself or even just taking things apart to clean this is a necessity.

My son wanted some tools to use for computer work. He makes his own computers and works on his electronics. He is happy.

I love the Ifixit Pro it has everything a person needs to open and repair something. However, I have two minor complaints about using this toolkit for over two months. The first complaint is the plastic spudger shown the pictures are about to break off after trying to use it. Granted, if this was after months or years of using this. Then I would understand why it is about to break off and needs replacing but this happened the first week of ownership.

I have used these tools several times to fix small electronics and found them to be quite useful. The tools are well made and easy to use. Before I bought this set I was constantly trying to use tools that were too large and cumbersome to really be effective. I could get the job done but it was a greater effort as the tools were just not easy to work with. As a bonus the IFIXIT company has a great variety of videos showing a number of repairs using their toolset so you can see step by step instructions.
