iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit

First up, the build quality on the iFixit Precision Bit Driver is the best Ive ever used. Nothing has come close, and its almost worth the price of this set to just sit there and twirl the driver in your hand. Cramping hand fatigue is a real thing if you are taking well made equipment apart.

Fantastic and genuine product. Works like a charm. Used it to replace my hdd with ssd in laptop. Handled the job perfectly. Packing was also good. Only issue is price which is out of control due to Customs. Product was delivered in 2 weeks.

Well made, high build quality, pretty complete assortment of items used to repair consumer grade electronics. I can only recommend this, even though the price is a bit high, because if taken good care of these will last you a lifetime!

The issue with iFixits tool set is that they use S2 steel which is a type of steel that is prone to shattering, breaking, bending, etc. I didnt know this until I researched it. All the bits were bending, breaking cracking, etc, and I couldnt figure out why until I educated myself on steel Hardness properties. When it comes to bits and the torque that you sometimes will have to use with these bits, you dont want a bit made with S2 steel. They advertise that they use S2 steel like its supposed to be a great thing!... Its not. So I bought this kit a couple years ago, and I have several broken or bent pieces/bits. Look for a better set that has a stronger steel. Bits and tools should be made with a hard steel like what they use in Drill bits. The manufacturers of this tool set probably thought people would be using this set for light work and most of the time that is the case, that is why most people are satisfied with this set. For me, I use this set for everything and anything that needs a really small bit. They constantly snap, break strip or bend. I wouldnt recommend this set until iFixit uses a stronger steel in the bits. I included a pic of a couple examples. This shouldnt happen to bits like this. I wasnt even using much torque/strength when these issues occurred!

I use this for highly specific, non-phone or computer use. But a precision set is a precision set. This thing works great, feels great, and holds up pretty well.

These are pretty expensive but everything about it is high quality. From the case, to the suction cup, to the tools. I love this kit and have been enjoying putting it to use to fix my families phones.

This is by far one of my favorite tool sets of all time. I also purchased them for my IT team at work. Super high quality and come in handly on the regular.
