I Am Elle: A Psychological Thriller

> 3 dayIve read this authors Paranormal Romances and loved them. When she wrote this book I thought Id give it a read. It was excellent and I couldnt put it down. She touches on a sad but true reality of children being abused by their parents (in this case a father to his daughter) and what it did to Elenore mentally. This is not an easy book to read, but I feel it is worth diving into. Ditter Keller is a talented author and I cant wait to purchase future books by her in this new genre.

> 3 dayThe book starts out good, but the ending felt like the author was running out of material, and cut it short. It cheapens the story. I’m no author, but I think the book would’ve been more interesting if she had explored the journey of the main characters more. It’s hard to relate to a story as implausible as this one.

Greater than one weekOne of the very best psychological thrillers I have ever read. The ending had me racing back over to Amazon for book 2! I have such great sorrow for Eleanore, the abused victim, and I like Detective Ramirez so much. First book I have read with a Spanish detective - cool. Filled with a lot of surprises, all of which fit into a logical pattern. I highly recommend this book.

> 3 dayI liked the books suspense, and how it was written . But be aware it stops in the middle of nowhere. I assume the next book continues the story If I would have known would never gotten it. I don’t read Cliff hangers.

> 3 dayThis was a difficult book for me to get through, not because it wasn’t good...it’s because it was. I put it down and back up several times in the beginning, the story content taking me to a place I wasn’t willing to go. A personal place, that reaches deep down in my soul and heart. I don’t do well with child abuse of any kind, even if it’s not graphic….thank goodness for that...I’d be having nightmares for weeks. This is definitely one of my favorite authors and she writes powerful books, but sometimes I have to have the right mindset to go into her world. This book will leave you raw, heart wrenching and needing some damn coddling….or wine. And because it’s like a train wreck...I already read the 2nd book. Please note, this book is not to be taken lightly, and this review is not to be taken lightly. This book had more triggers than a gun shop, yup it’s exactly like that.
