Greater than one weekValves base station had mount for the wall abd the power line was much longer. But this one the line was waaay shorter and you didnt get a mount for it. As expected of vive. The only reason I purchased this was because of shortage with valves stock.

Greater than one weekI ordered two of these base stations, the first one was broken the very moment I plugged it in. (Red light of death). Upon ordering a replacement, the same incident except the box that the second one came in was also terribly smashed. Which could be due to where it was shipped out from but still... I dont recommend buying a base station here unless youre desperate, but chances are you might receive a broken/malfunctioning base station more so then a perfectly functioning one. They also come with a short ugly cord, and no wall mount despite being a much higher price then from Valve.

Greater than one weekSo yeah. It is more expensive and you get less than what Valve gives you. But it works and you can order it whenever. The 2.0 arrived after a week, which was sooner than the 2 weeks they suggested it would take. Ill take what I can get if Valve is out of stock.

Greater than one weekSame station that came with the index. Plugged in and conected to the system automatically. The only difference is the power cord which is slightly shorter and a different shape on the plug. No mounting hardware and $50 more than if you got from valve directly... But they are sold out at the time of writing. A good mount is only $10-20 so if you need one now, this is worth it.

> 3 dayMine were scratched up and didnt have the film to prevent it that others come with, and beyond that, these are about 30% overpriced compared to a number of other options, and offer fewer features. you get no wiring to plug them into your computer, and even the power cable is cheaper and angled sideways, resulting it unnecessary strain, even if its less obstructive to other plugs than others would be. as the cherry on top, theres no mounting bracket, so if you get these, youll also need one of those. its a standard camera screw, I believe, but mine is still printing out (thank the fact that patents end for 3D printers, am I right?) I think its supposed to be laser based, so I hope these scratches dont affect its accuracy. UPDATE: one was DOA. I suggest you look at a different one.

> 3 dayPros: These are identical to base stations i got from valve. Works like a charm. However, I have few cons that are making me consider if I should return these and wait until valve starts reselling. Cons: I bought two, and both are significantly louder than base stations that came with valve index. Very annoying tinnitus hum. No mounts! ?? This costed $50 more.. cmon man. Lastly, the wire is shorter than valve index stations. I needs to be at least 2-3 feet longer. Edit: Noise is not much louder than the valve base station.. it was more to the fact that any time you add another base station, frequency goes up and the sound gets louder. I have four, which make it really loud.

Greater than one weekOrdered 2 for my Valve Index to replace Base Station 1.0s. Paired easily and worked perfectly with my existing mounts.

> 3 dayI ordered two and they both went out within a year. I didnt move them when they were placed so it wasnt that either. And my valve index base stations have been moved twice and theyre still working perfectly after a year and a half. I also started a refund on one back in August 2021 and they never did refund me my money, and the other one as of Dec 22 2021 went bad so I cant return that one. So just avoid this.
