Overall: 5/5 This is one of those weird tools that you won’t use all the time, but when you need it it’s like a miracle to have it. I’ve used a similar design on dozens of different types of wood surfaces over the years. From adding a deadbolt to running wiring through desks this has always come in handy. They include 4 sizes, the pilot, and a hex tool. Looks like a great value to me. Quality: 5/5 Well made with no noticeable flaws. Thoughtful inclusion of all the pieces you need for multiple sizes. Value: 5/5 Great value considering my own experiences with this kind of tool.

Hole Saw Kit, 6-Piece Set Inexpensive hole saws, cover common sizes, good choice for those of us who need one only occasionally. There are higher quality sets costing ten times as much, but this item will get the job done. Carbon steel: left my last set in a bucket in the rain. They rust; don’t do that.

Easy to use and drill, just replace my regular drill bits and make perfect size holes on the dry wall. Good for indoor wiring the sound system or network.

This is a very inexpensive hole saw set made for softer materials. They appear to be of decent quality and able to handle the materials claimed. I think they are definitely worth the price.

I actually bought 2 of these. The first, I was making a rain barrel and needed to cut a hole in a metal drum for the faucet fitting. Big mistake, I did cut the hole and finished the rail barrel, but pretty much ruined the hole saw blade doing it. The blades are really intended for softer things, wood, plastic, etc and its a very affordable set. On my second set, I needed the same size hole (as the blade I ruined on the metal drum) for the metal rain gutter, some plastic and a 2x4. It works much better with the softer material and the thinner, softer rain gutter (aluminum I think), was ok. But, in spite of how it worked on the metal drum, its so affordable, I think Id do it again. Even buying the set, using it once and throwing it away, youre better off with this very affordable set of blades than a way more expensive set. If youre a shop or running a commercial business, you probably want the more expensive set anyway and this low cost set probably isnt for you, but for most people, that need to cut a whole, maybe a door knob, faucet fixture or something, its absolutely the best and most economical choice.

My husband makes wooden birdhouses. This hole saw is perfect for cutting the holes for the entrance. It is also useful for making a hole in a door for a door knob or many other potential uses. The saws are sturdy and sharp. They make a smooth cut. This would be a useful tool for any handy guy or gal.

Tools have a way of disappearing and this replaced hole saws I used to have when you need one no other substitution

I used it to cut a hole in what I consider to be soft wood, which actually had a bit of water damage so should have been super soft wood. It worked, and it cut the hole. I went to cut a second one and the saw piece that that bolted to the drill piece rounded out and no longer worked to cut after a single hole. If you stick to softer materials like drywall, some plastics, etc, I would say it is probably fine. It will have very little longevity when used on any type of solid wood. A particle board might be fine.

Decent value set for what you get. I got these specifically to drill a few oversized holes in my drywall to run cables through. They worked very well for that purpose. I cant comment on how well they do with wood, but they made clean cuts in my 5/8 drywall. Overall satisfied

A very basic tool you dont normally think of, until you try to build a birdhouse. Easy to assemble, easy to use. All you need is a drill and a steady hand. The birdhouse came out nice, and it is definitely a good price.
