Hillsdale Montello 32-Inch Swivel Bar Stool, Old Steel Finish with Faux Brown Leather

Finally, a bar stool that is made solid. This was our third try at finding a bar stool for our high kitchen bar counter for the right height and quality of product. Saw this, decided to try, but only ordered one. Arrived in great shape, earlier than estimated, took hubby about 10 minutes to take out of box and put seat on. The rest of the stool is welded together. Amazing. Great design, very pleased with the craftsmanship and it is high enough for the bar counter and easy for this 52 frame to take a seat. Did not disappoint at all. In fact, we ordered two more. Yay!

WE BOUGHT TWO OF THE STOOLS. 1ST ONE CAME AND WAS PERFECT. 2ND ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IDENTICAL, BUT HARDLY WAS. IT WOBBLED ON UNEVEN LEGS, WOULDNT SWIVEL, DID NOT MATCH COLOR OF METAL OR WOOD OF THE 1ST ONE, AND WAS ALMOST 3/4 TALLER. EVEN THE WOOD TOPS WERE DIFFERENT SHAPE & TEXTURE. HILLSDALE PROVIDED INFO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT WAS VIRTUALLY NO SERVICE AT ALL. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER APPEARS AS A KENTUCKY NUMBER, BUT IS JUST A FRONT FOR AN INTERNATIONAL NUMBER THAT WOULDNT WORK, EVEN AFTER FIVE TRIES. TRIED THEIR E-MAIL ADDRESS, BUT THEY JUST IGNORED MY FIRST E-MAIL. WE FINALLY CONNECTED, BUT THEN THEY COULDNT FIND OUR ORDER, EVEN THOUGH I GAVE THEM THE ORDER NUMBERS THREE TIMES, IN THE HEADING OF THE E-MAIL! AFTER FINALLY FINDING OUR ORDER, THEY WOULD NOT SEND ANYTHING TO US TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEMS, AND THEN SIMPLY IGNORED OUR E-MAILS. DECIDED TO RETURN THEM TO AMAZON. ALTHOUGH CONFUSING, ESPECIALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME RETURNING THINGS, AMAZON DID ACT DECENTLY TO GET US A RETURN LABEL, BUT THEIR SITE IS TERRIBLE ABOUT DISCLOSING A CONTACT NUMBER TO TALK TO SOMEONE. STILL WAITING FOR REFUND TO SEE IF THE RETURN SYSTEM WORKS.

Before I purchased this stool I had owned 3 others for five years, and they are very heavy and well made. This one was easy to assemble...with one exception...you need all the parts. The screws were not enclosed in the packaging, but luckily I removed one from one of my other three chairs for matching at the hardware store. The few bucks that I spent on screws was well worth the money I saved purchasing this stool from you. It was cheaper than others I found online.

We had an extra high kitchen counter in our new house and needed a higher than average stool. We searched for weeks and liked the Hillsdale Montello swivel stool. After getting the shipment....we were very happy with the sturdiness and quality of the stool. Of course nothing is always perfect, and one stool was delivered damaged, but Hillsdale was totally accommadating with exchange and replacement and very professional. It was a great buying experience. Thanks Hillsdale.

We searched endlessly on line and in stores, and finally found these stools that fit our peninsula which is much higher than counter tops. These stools are well made, sturdy, and very attractive. They are also very comfortable. The swivel seats and the high backs are a plus hard to find in a stool of this height if you can find one at all! Highly recommend.

We bought 3 of this seats for our breakfast bar in the kitchen. I needed it 32 inches high and could find much that was that high. So I order this ones and when it came, WOW PERFECT!!!! they are very heavy duty. I have some family members that are over weight and the stool is extremelly steady and comfortable for them.

Very nice looking chairs. We bought 3 of these for the kitchen counter. We also bought 4 of the 32 seats for the basement. The reason this is 4 stars is because you dont really slide across the seat that easily, so its not that convenient. When leather is done right, you can slide easily.

The chair arrived quickly, just 2 days after ordering. The setup was very easy, only taking me 10 minutes. All you have to do is insert four screws using the provided allen wrench. The only bad thing was the styrofoam in the box broke up very easily into hundreds of pieces which stuck to the chair, the seat and on my clothes. Overall I am very pleased with this chair and its styling and sturdiness.

I would had given 5 stars but your ad makes the chair looks as if it is silver in the metal area (even when I zoom across it); and thats what I was looking for, but instead I received bronze color metal thats not too attractive with all stainless steel appliances. Yes the chairs are sturdy, and the seat padding is comfortable and swirling is very quiet, but the color of the metal is not what I need.
