Very good kit

First time pour over coffee user here. The sun does exactly what you needed to do. I may consider unbleached filters next time but otherwise a solid starter set.

The V60 truly lives up to the hype. The clarity and smoothness in the coffee it produces is second to none. I like it so much better than a french press or metal filter pour-over. The 02 size easily handles 50g (9TBS whole bean) 750-850g water pour. It could probably handle 60g. The 02 server is only good for 600ml (grams of water and milliliters are the same, 1g of water is 1mL), but the 02 dripper easily fits on top of a 32oz insulated metal cup (Built brand), so I just make it directly into that. Had I known that I probably would have just bought the dripper and some filters or gone with a 03 server. The ceramic has a nice weight that keeps everything stable. I saw a lot of online reviews that talked about how unforgiving the V60 can be. I didnt find that to be true. I use a grind size that is a little smaller than kosher salt. I just use an electric blade grinder and do 15-17 one second pulses. If you want a stronger brew go a little finer. The water to coffee ratio (in grams) is a matter of personal preference. 15:1 to 19:1 is the range. I suggest starting at 17:1 and then making adjustments. A gooseneck kettle isnt absolutely necessary but a scale can really make a difference in dialing in the ratio. Definitely rinse the filter and preheat the dripper and server/mug with boiling water. The only downside to thick ceramic is that it absorbs a lot of heat, but preheating eliminates this issue. Both the dripper and server are easy to clean. The opening in the server is just big enough to get a rag into the bottom, though if you have giant hands it could be problematic. Happy brewing!

This is a good kit I purchased after falling in love with blue bottle coffee and their hand dripped selections, OMG... This kit was a perfect starter kit. I just purchased a nice burr grinder, some extra filters in advance, and a kitchen scale to weigh my coffee beans and water for the perfect cup. Oh I also recommend you purchase a nice glass mug to enjoy all of the goodness again and again. For some reason I swear coffee tastes better in glass than any metal mug or thermos from my experience.

works well for making coffee. this is the first device ive ever used to do pour overs, so I cant comment if this is better than a clever, or chemex or air, but it is definitely better than the my old black and decker coffee machine.

This kit was a great value for money given buying the individual parts is approximately 20% more. The package came swiftly, as expected from Amazon and their third part sellers. As soon as I got it, I went straight to work to tinker my daily coffee recipe to the Hario V60. The V60 is the gold standard as it comes to pour over coffee and it shows with this set. It is an excellent set for anyone coming into the pour over game (I assume that diehard coffee connoisseur would already have this). Since I got it, I have used it every day. It is super convenient to make a single cup of coffee into the actual cup. This helps remove one extra piece of glassware from being cleaned. This is my go-to piece of coffee equipment and cannot praise it enough. Thank you for the excellent value.

I use this kit all the time, i love it and the quality of the coffee is perfect. I use 205 F, 330 G of water and 20g of coffee beans (weighed not grinded) and its amazing.
