> 3 dayOur kitchen sink kept smelling no matter how many times I used baking soda & vinegar. I would also get an occasional skunky smell from the bathroom sink when brushing my teeth. We are on septic & figured the extra enzymes from these couldn’t hurt. Within in a couple of days of dropping in the sticks, the smells were gone. They started reappearing about a week ago, 6 weeks after we first used them, so I knew it was time to put more in. FYI, we were also having issues with odors in our front loader washing machine. Cleaning out the drain is both difficult & messy, so I figured I would try putting a stick in the washer drain hole as well. We now only use the washing machine cleaner once a month for maintenance vs at least once a week.

> 3 dayI started using these sticks after buying OTHERS and them NOT clearing up the slow draining sinks. I use them whenever I Think of putting one in, usually after I start smelling my sink OR it begins backing up a little bit. It is probably about once a month to 6 weeks. I have bought other brands and I do not believe any of them work as well as Green Gobbler brand. I dont like walking into my kitchen or bath and smelling YUK. And thats the only way I Can Describe the stench. These seem to do the trick and as far as Im concerned, worth the money spent. I do Feel that others who were not so pleased with them probably have different septic/etc. treatment plants. Ours is less than 7 miles away, so between close proximity and green gobbler sticks-Im Happy!

27-10-2024I had my doubts about these things but figured Id try them since my bathroom sink and shower drains get clogged up with so much hair. I try to snake my drains a couple of times a year with one of those spiky flexible snake things. Normally when I do that, I end up with a wad of nasty soap scum covered hair the size of a small rat. Its been about a year since I snaked my drains. Ive been using these since the beginning of May. I went to clean out the drains this past weekend and I only pulled out a few strands of hair. Im super impressed. I just knew that I was going to realize these were a waste of money, but they definitely arent. Im going to buy more for the kitchen and other bathroom.

29-10-2024My only negative about this product is that my drain isn’t an open one but one metal “covering” it like a drain filter. Not sure how to describe it. So when I put one of these in there, I have to force it into the openings because it can’t just drop into the drain. Other then that, I’ve used these for about 8 months and they do exactly what they’re suppose to do. My drains have not smelled this whole time, which was an issue with standing water in the pipes. I honestly forget to check the pipes now because the smell isn’t alerting me to check them. Will continue to buy them.

> 3 dayI will admit, I thought these were a gimmick it first. We have a cabin that gets used sporadically throughout the year by friends and family when they want to vacation on our farm. It has its own dedicated septic system, but some of the gray water gets diverted into a gray water recycling system to be used to irrigate the cabin gardens. The gray water system is not a sealed system and can sometimes smell musty or like rotting food. As you can imagine, this is not very pleasant in 1600 square-foot cabin that sometimes isn’t aired out for a week or two. After inserting these in every drain and each shower drain, it took about three weeks to start making a difference. We have been inserting one or two sticks in every drain for the past three months, and there is absolutely no smell at all anymore. I can’t believe how well these little sticks worked. Everyone now comments about how absolutely fresh the cabin smells just in time for spring allergy season. :)

Greater than one weekDespite reading the other reviews saying how it didnt have a scent, or that the stick broke, or worst-case scenario of it making the clog worse, I stubbornly decided to try this anyway. I didnt mind that it didnt have a strong scent, but I started wishing it did after my drain stopped draining at all and I decided to plunge it. Plunging it made it incredibly worse bc it brought up all this putrid-smelling black gunk. Our apartments handy man couldnt make it over for 2 days so that was disappointing--to say the least. On the upside, our tub is still working after we put a stick down the drain--thats a pretty low bar tho.
