Im new to painting, but this has definitely helped a ton! the ridges are helpful to quickly clean my brushes and the grooves are there to help get that point again. Im strictly against the old school method of using my mouth to wet and form the tip of my brush! Im not going to be a paint eater... gross!

If you have good brushes you care about, buy this water pot. It has ridges and fins inside the pot to help clean brushes. Ive seen a vast improvement in the longevity of my brushes just in changing to these Citadel Water Pots.

Im glad I spent the money. Ive used a lot of different & expensive water pots before and was skeptical before giving this a try, but this is the best water pot for acrylic painting Ive ever used. Very well thought design helps painters to clean their brushes thoroughly, particularly the thin brushe shapers molded into the cup.

Works as intended. maybe a little overprice for a mug. But if you just want to use something other than a coffee mug, this is perfect. Has ripples and groves to help clean the brushes. Easy to clean and fits nicely on my work desk.

Using product for its intended purpose. Yes, its could be an unnecessary item to purchase but in my situation, it proved useful in that my cat tries to knock over cups of water intentionally but has yet to up-end this one. I did pro-actively add some additional weight around the base that is easily hidden between the plastic surfaces, which helps it function as a paperweight as well.

If you put metallic paint in it, it will suck up those metal bits like a sponge does water and it will gather onto your brush. If you then use any other paints, it will fall into it and now my radiation on my Necrons sparkles like Edward from Twilight I use it because I like representing brands and such but there are more innovative and cooler products on Amazon for way cheaper. You are paying for the name on the cup. It does not hold that much water and needs to be washed constantly, and other pots I have do a better job of taking off the paint on my brushes. This pot has actually ruined 2 of my brushes. It gets 3 stars because it does what it says it does.

This water pot is designed for the artist in mind. Sure, you can use a plastic cup, but this pot is designed well. Notches around the rim prevent my brush from moving around needlessly. The broad bottom tapered to a narrower top prevents it from being tipped over. Ridges on the bottom of the pot help to agitate the brush to wash away paint easier. Its a simple design, and Citadel has perfected it in my opinion.

I threw this against the wall to test its durability. It passed the test with flying colors! I should of took the water out of it first. Oh yeah its important to note it doesnt come prefilled with water. Great product.
