> 3 dayDid I need this? No. Could I have just used any random cup or mug to hold water? Yes. Was it worth the money I spent on it regardless? Definitely. The grooves on the bottom are absolutely great for cleaning your brushes, and the notches along the side do a great job of shaping the tips. It isnt going to magically make your brushes last 10x longer if you dont take proper care of them, but it definitely helps some. And the wide base makes it all but impossible to tip over, which might just be worth the price alone if youre as accident-prone as I am.

> 3 dayUsing product for its intended purpose. Yes, its could be an unnecessary item to purchase but in my situation, it proved useful in that my cat tries to knock over cups of water intentionally but has yet to up-end this one. I did pro-actively add some additional weight around the base that is easily hidden between the plastic surfaces, which helps it function as a paperweight as well.

Greater than one weekIm glad I spent the money. Ive used a lot of different & expensive water pots before and was skeptical before giving this a try, but this is the best water pot for acrylic painting Ive ever used. Very well thought design helps painters to clean their brushes thoroughly, particularly the thin brushe shapers molded into the cup.

> 3 dayI thought it was ridiculous to spend on a water pot but this thing is great. Lots of little grooves and bumps to clean your brushes on.

> 3 dayGreat cup very stable and sturdy, helps keep brushes to a point by the use of slits inside the cup also a recess for laying brush down when not in use.

> 3 dayFirst impression, water capacity is significantly smaller than I expected, smaller than a mug, so I have to change out the dirty water frequently. Maybe not a bad thing if you want to take breaks a lot for the sake of your health, but its inconvenient and not really an upgrade from what I was using before. The deep grooves along the back of the cup which are intended to draw the hairs into a point, I never use, since I wipe my brush on a paper towel to remove excess water and form the point. The ridges up the walls inside of the cup, not sure if they help too much, but I never use them either. The deep ridges along the bottom of the cup, I never use with my layer brushes unless I want to ruin them, but they are really good for deep cleaning less fragile brushes (like synthetic brushes and dry brushes). The tapered wide-bottom shape is nice in that its hard to knock over on the table top, but not so nice in that its easy to slip out of your grip on a trip to the sink (unless you hold it up from underneath). The notch along the top of the cup holds a brush, and is pretty nice. Its molded as a single piece of polypropylene plastic, and its form is hollow so that it can be stacked.
