Works great for aquariums..

Lousy quality, when I put the bedding into my tank, great gobs of plastic came out as well!

You can get a huge bag (like 25lb or more) of this stuff at most hardware stores for about $7. This particular product was very very dusty and light. Its just mulch.

This appears to get rid of squash bugs that were killing my plants!

My snakes love it and its definitely worth thw price.

I thought I was purchasing a 40# bag, but this is a tiny little(8 quart) bag that does me no good for my ball pythons 60 gal aquarium. I couldnt find the weight in the product description but it said it was for humidity loving reptiles and had a big green iguana on the bag that couldnt possibly live in an aquarium smaller than 60 gals. The mulch itself looks like a clean, good quality product, I just need about 10X the quantity. The last time I purchased a similar product, I bought it at Lowes but our closest home improvement store is 40 min away so I had hoped to get what I needed from Amazon.

Its mulch, it works.

The pieces are really thick and not great for animals to crawl over. Some of the pieces were at least 6”. On the whole it did not hold moisture and dried out very quickly.
