We use this substrate exclusively for our ball python, it stay moist , keeping the humidity at the perfect level as well as giving our snake a great bedding in which she can burrow. I highly recommend this for any snake

Bought this bag while getting my terrarium set up for my snake and found that it was mostly dirt and roots. I was able to use it for a little bit after picking all of the roots out but I quickly got changed out to a much better cypress mulch.

Not horrible but I got two bags of this and it didnt look like the bag in the picture. Rather than being mostly mulch my bags contained quite a bit of what looked like dirt. Id say it was about 50/50 dirt to mulch ratio. It still looked fine in my tanks and my animals seem to have no issues with it however its messy especially around the water bowls.

Very dusty. I dont know whether this is caused by shipping or if the product itself is like this. Once it gets wet and settles its fine. Wood pieces are not too sharp, didnt give me any splinters. Mixed it with coconut husk for my ball python to help keep in some extra moisture.

this produce was trash it 90% dirt actually DIRT !! such a rip off

Would work for a 25 gal tank. Instructions are not very clear a off how many square inches would this bag size cover
