Absolutely silent and fast focusing linear piezo-electric motors - perfect for videography and general photography alike. Great sun stars, perfectly optically corrected. The downside is the size and price, but given its merits, youll likely forgive its vices and reach for it almost every time.

I am super impressed by this lens. Ive had the XF35mm F2 and F1.4 and this lens is by far my new favorite. I live in a dry and dusty area and so WR was a must and a big part of why I gave up the XF35 F1.4. Low-light conditions caused issues for the XF35 F2. This solves both of the issues. The trade off was the size of the lens, especially with the ridiculous lens hood, but it does what I need it to. I also like that it allows just a tiny bit more in frame than the 35. It doesnt seem like a lot, but its nice.

Some reviews mentioned poor packaging here and I wanted to emphasize how poorly this valuable lens was packaged upon receipt. It was just packed in a box with not enough air pillow whatsoever and the lens is obviously moving/rattling along with the box. I can’t believe how poorly it was packaged. As soon as I open the lens, it felt warm from the outside element. It’s likely been out all day with the driver carelessly. I’m not sure if it overheated but I don’t appreciate how poorly it was shipped and delivered. As soon as I attach the lens to my xpro2, I receive an error message “turn off the camera and turn on again”. I detach the lens and put my 16mm lens on and it has no problem functioning. I see a similar review about the lens and I’m so disappointed. The lens itself is superior but I received a defective one. Up your packaging game, Amazon! I’m returning.

Outstanding rendering of details, contrast and color. I have to say, however, Amazon took quite a risk shipping this $800 lens in a plastic bag. I appreciate that Amazon is striving to cut down on packaging waste, but high value items like this need to ship in correctly packed boxes.

My favorite focal length. Super sharp and autofocus is quiet and fast. A noticeable upgrade to legendary 35mm F1.4. Get it!

Crisp and clear. Not sure how to review a lens, but I works great. Used it as my main lens for a wedding I did recently. Extremely impressed with the sharpness of this lens.

I think that is second product but they lack of the paper that I can use free their product. That mean I have to pay the software, i dont see the box for this product. I need help for this

Amazingly sharp, little bigger than most the lenses but an absolute treasure of a lens worth the extra money

I love the image quality and size of the original 35 1.4, but the autofocus on that thing. woof. It just couldn’t keep up especially in low light.
