Great product! I planed six 12 foot X 15 inch boards with no issues (both sides). I have cut some boards as deep as 1/4 or more. Cuts through hard wood such as oak, cherry, and mahogany quite easily. Ignore reviews claiming the bit bends, it wont unless you are being extremely foolish. Cuts through knots with no issues.

Thats a great tool! Im using it as a planner and works fantastic. Even to level boards of hard maple, allowed me to do it! Highly recommended.

The bit itself appeared cuts easily and appeared well made, but the bearing seized within a few minutes...or might have been from start. Alas, I failed to check before using. Granted i was mortising in white oak, but took shallow passes (less than 1/4), cleaned between each pass... And no, the bit is not inserted too deeply into the collet. I have been using a much smaller bit on same project....from a much less respected manufacturer, and its performed just fine.... Though much more time consuming. I have several freud bits/blades. Until now, Ive had great luck. Ill have to return this one.

Quality router but. Dados and grooves came out smooth and clean. Cuts through with little effort. Perfect for undersized 3/4 plywood.

I got this for plywood rabbit joints.. This bit makes the rabbit very tight indeed. Very sharp and smooth cut.

I got this for mortising joints in 1 pine as an alternative to a much more expensive dado blade to do the same job. I have not been disappointed. The bit is extremely sharp and even after quite a bit of use (all on pine) it is just as sharp as the first time I used it. It goes great with the Bosch Colt router (thats what I use it in). I set up a board as a guide and the bit makes a perfectly clean cut exactly 3/4 wide by however deep I want (up to 1/2 deep).

I used this on a bedframe build for my wife. I needed to mortise(or route out) a groove for a 3/4 walnut veneer plywood, and given the cost of the walnut, I was nervous. However, the bit was a perfect cut, nice tight fit, but not so tight as to strip the outer layer of the ply. Used a rubber mallet to tap it on, really nice lines. I attached pictures mid-build to show where the ply was used.
