Exo Terra Terrarium Lock

Its a good and secure lock, Im always a fan of Exo Terra/ hagen products. In my opinion, these could be better designed to stop the doors from being opens at all for optimal safety and security. Or even smaller versions for the nano line. But for what they are theyre great.

Easy to set the combination and to use. Using for our panther gecko terrarium to keep little fingers away and little lizards safe.

Use this to lock up my snake tank while Im gone in case of some kinda unannounced apartment inspection where I wouldnt want some idiot messing with my animal. You just never know. Its a deterrent - NOT the highest possible security lock, as some reviews are complaining. I just leave mine on the default combo and mix up the numbers. People see a lock and theyre not gonna bother trying to gain entry. Toddlers wont be able to figure it out. Youre cat wont be able to figure it out. Sure, someone could just guess the obvious combo or cut the damn thing with like, any tool. But that isnt the point. The point is look at me, Im an intimidating lock, its not worth your time to mess with me, and a guaranteed fit with exoterra tank door mechanisms. Does its job.

Bought this specifically to keep the toddler out of the 12 year olds terrarium but as you can see, that wont work. I can shove the broken side back in but it comes out with little effort. My toddler is pretty darn determined so this is useless.

Only lock compatible for the terrarium, so it definitely works! Stiff at first, but loosens with use. Safety first (for all involved!) so definitely worth the purchase!

I ordered 2 of these to keep my lizards safe.. One I was able to change the combination without a problem... the other, I changed it and then it wouldnt work... I didnt understand that one.. So now I have one that is locked and I cant open it up because the combination wont work.. I tried going back to the default, still wouldnt work... not sure what the deal is. On the one tank I use this one, it barely reaches... BUt at least I know my lizards are hopefully secure since my neighbor stole my Iguana and the police wont do anything about it.

it was poorly made and the cheap plastic lasted 2 months DO NOT BUY

Fits perfectly on our terrarium and so easy to use.

i like it it looks nice with my terra set up and the locking mechanism is a 3 digit code i leave it on the preset code of 000 because i have no kids in the house and my snake cant get out anyway with the way the terrarium locks but it does look nice
