Exo Terra Screen Cover for Hinged Door, 20 to 29-Gallon

Bought this for my daughters bearded dragon tank. Fit the 20-Gal-Long fish tank that I bought from Petsmart and has room to move. Sturdy design and holds up the UVA-UVB / Heating lamp with no issues. Love the hinge in the middle. My daughter can reach in to get her dragon or put in food and or water. Great buy for the price.

I am sure this top will be fine for my aquarium, if I decide to use it in the future. I ordered it because I planned on making a new area for a pet and changed my mind. It looks nice and sturdy and just what I was expecting.

So, I love this type and style of screen lid for reptiles housed in fish tanks. The hinged middle allows one side to stay clipped to the tank (!!always use tank clips to keep potential escapees in their homes!!), while also allowing you generous access to the tank. The asterisk by the headline is because not all reptiles do well in glass fish tanks. Some need acrylic tanks to keep in heat and humidity. In some of those cases, simply affixing a piece of plexiglass across one side of the lid can help increase the heat and humidity kept inside the tank. (This is assuming you are using either an under tank heater and/or heat lamp above the tank; the way I do it, the heat lamp goes on the side without the plexiglas.) In any case, if you need a screen lid for your tank, this is a great one.

These hinged doors are great for one main reason - the hinge. I make my aquariums into reptile tanks and with this kind of screen I can tape the bottom half on and access everything by swinging the top down. Im turning the tanks on the side so I can use the max vertical height.

I’ve used this on my axolotl aquarium for over a year now, it’s sturdy and nice to be able to open one side without having to take the whole top off.

I have a 12 and 1/4 by 30 inch tank and even though the description says 12X30 inch it fit perfectly. love the hinge idea in the middle, makes clean up a lot easier, plus it is just the right weight, keeps the critters where they are suppose to be. I highly recommend this one if you looking for a screen lid for your critter tank.

Nice product idea that works great for easy access to the tank without having to move the heat lamp/light. Just be cautious of climbing animals...my frogs climbed up and tried to squeeze out by the hinges.
