Ive spent over an hour trying to get the nut to tighten enough so it can actually clamp onto something and hold itself up, with no success. No matter how much I tighten the nut, the lamp just swings freely whereas the ceramic socket now has gouges in it from how tight the other end was. What a waste of money. I bought a $6 clamp light from walmart but needed a ceramic socket instead of a plastic one. The $6 clamp actually stays up but too bad it doesnt fit on this piece of junk.

Unfortunately I bought it about over a month before I completed the full setup and got the gecko so now I cannot return it. It burned an £8 bulb after 4 days (being used about 10 hours per day) and just stopped working. What a waste of money...

use over my fish tank... all the other lights i brought for my fish tank did not work....this works just fine... clamped it to my tank and it is on an automatic timer... my little fishy are good to go.... makes my life great....

The light arrived missing the clamp, this is not fit for use. Also it doesnt have a UK plug fitting!!!!

I have tried several brands, this model the 5.5 is the best clamp lamp I have used yet. Being a porcelain socket allows it to handle up to 100 watt bulbs. The reason I only give 4 stars is because the glow in the dark aspect doesnt really work.
