> 3 dayI usually buy platinum level psu but since EVGA 850 P2 wasnt available, I decided to take a chance on this newer EVGA psu that came out a few years ago. Its been quiet. I have read where people said theirs was noisy but I hear nothing from mine. The value of the G5 was cheaper than the P2, (I know this because my previous psu was a P2 650, and I have a P2 650 and P2 850 on my other computers). I custom build my computers. Installation was easy, especially since the 650 P2 cables were compatible with this model. NOTICE: Always verify psu cables will be compatible with each other. If you change brands, then the cables will NOT be compatible. But if it is the same brand, then look up on the brands website to see if they are compatible.

> 3 dayFits good and the cables were just the right length for large rigs. Powered right up with no issues. Cables are labeled so even newer PC enthusiasts can put it all together.

> 3 dayI got this to replace my wimpy 480 Watt Power supply that was in my Alienware Aurora R7. Super easy to install and I felt the difference in my GTX 1080 getting the power it needed to do the job. It’s recommended to have over 550 Wats of power. Would order another when I get another computer.

Greater than one weekAfter a lifetime with my ThermalTake Toughpower 750w semi, I finally made the decision to swap out the last part remaining in my new build all in the name of better wire management and go fully modular. The TT was great but the wires were not braided. That supply had been through 3 builds, all small form factor, and the tight squeezes ripped the wiring. I was able to safely repair it but boy would it have been a dream to have the g5 years back. Now I have a much larger case but wires were still not as flexible as Id like them to be. I figured I could drop 100watts and still be fine, grabbed this after getting a refurbished g3 that was DOA and I cant find anything to complain about with the g5. Noise level is about equal to the TT, noticeable but very quiet. Nothing Im very concerned with. The blue/green fan cover is beautiful, its a MUST HAVE for anyone who has a case that will show it off. Mine unfortunately does not. The green light in the back is equally as stunning. Unfortunately that too will likely never be seen with my current build. And also comes with velcro ties which was a huge help in cable mgmt. Im not sure what else to say, have been running this about a week and no issues. Will update if things go south but for the moment very happy!

> 3 dayGreat power supply so far. Install was easy and the modular cabling made it so it didnt have a bunch of unused cables to hide. I cant speak for the longevity of it yet but my last one lasted 10 years and i only really replaced it for better cable management. It has an eco mode switch wich is cool but i have not tested or used it yet.
