> 3 dayAfter doing hours and hours of research to find the best power supply because my previous one completely destroyed my computer (after only having it for 3 weeks.. Rosewill Hive series, for anyone whos interested), I came across this one (650w G3). Theres amazing reviews wherever you look, and its clear to see why. Not only did it come packaged extremely well with cases for everything (and velcro strap things for awesome cable management!), everything is organized and straight forward, but it also looks and feels like a well built power supply. Plus it comes with a 7 year warranty, who can say no to that?! Setup was easy and straight forward, thanks to the setup guide book along with the fact that all of the cables are clearly labelled, I had my pc up and running in a matter of minutes. So far its been working like a dream this past while, and Im fully expecting for that to continue. Its EXTREMELY quiet (cant even hear it running when its right beside you with the fan on and still quiet with full fan speed), and also has the Eco Mode where the fan doesnt turn on unless its needed (longer psu life! Woo!). Seriously, dont take a chance with some other psu like I did.. I had to build a brand new computer because I took a chance on a psu to save money and I thought Well, theres mostly good reviews (probably 75% good, 25% bad), and those bad things could never happen to me, right? WRONG.

Greater than one weekIt lasted pretty well for about 6 months, then it started causing my PC to randomly restart when launching certain games. I tried everything to troubleshoot as I was 100% certain it couldnt be the power supply. As soon as I upgraded from a 1080 to a 1080 Ti the problems started, and I wondered if it was my card causing it. It didnt make sense to me because the maximum power draw of my system was around 430w and the 650 should have been more than enough to handle it even at maximum load. I was wrong in the end, because I replaced it with a Corsair RM750x and now everything is fine. They seem to work well for other people, so consider my experience an outlier but beware, Corsair units seem to be more reliable for long-term use.
