> 3 dayI purchased this as a multipurpose item and am using it mostly to keep my young puppy contained. It works great as a playpen but is horrible as a solution to block off my extremely wide doorways. Both my niece and the puppy quickly learned to get through by pushing the folded gate and if it’s left straight instead of accordion style it’s easily knocked over with a couple pushes. I would echo other reviews that state this is built like a ladder. My puppy has learned how to climb the gate in less than two weeks so I can only use it to keep him contained when I’m nearby and he’s content being contained. Despite these frustrations, I realize it’s less a product flaw and more just a result of curiosity. It’s still worth the money to me as it works for kiddos and pups and has made it easier to keep either the puppy or my niece contained (although separately of course).

Greater than one weekReview is based use for our DOG. please note this is not a review for HUMAN use. Purchased out of the need to contain a medium size post-surgery dog for 2+ months. Though any plastic gate is inherently fugly, this one is less so by virtue of not being multicolored. The off-white color is as pictured and the gate design somehow feels less industrial than some Ive used as baby (not pet) corrals in the past. Maybe Im just used to looking at it, but it doesnt stand out as much as some of the gates Ive seen. Added the 2 panel extender so that we had the needed 6x6 space in any configuration so Dog in Cone of Shame could take a few steps without bashing into the gate. Worth the money to buy as a set, as purchasing the 2 panel extender separately was more expensive than if Id added it to the cart with the original purchase. Food for thought. Dog is not the type to rear up, shove, claw, chew, or otherwise bust through a barricade. So I cant speak to durability in that regard. However it has held up to heavy daily use. Each individual section has a brown push button at the top, that allows you to open that section to swing like a door. It is really handy to have this on every section so no matter how it is positioned, we can easily help our dog (whos also enjoying wearing a Cone of Shame in addition to doggie isolation) stumble through any section to get out for a potty break. Now that dog is allowed a little more space, weve also taken sections apart to use as a doorway barricade which I find really handy. The gate is the slightest bit flimsy-as in, I dont know that this would stand up to an aggrieved 18 month old or a more determined pet. One thing I would note if youre considering it for human use is that the gate patterns are a diamond shape. I wonder if little fingers and toes would find this pinchy as they attempted escape. Pic attached shows just how lovely your home could be if you have a dog with a Cone of Shame AND a baby gate! Lucky you!

> 3 dayEasy to use, versatile as you can turn the white parts upside down for little stakes to keep it put outside, easy to fold up for storage. It was a total lifesaver as my son wanted to be free but we couldnt have crawling free range through the house. We compromised and he started playing in it happily. You can even buy extra pieces to make it bigger which is awesome.

> 3 dayExcellent play space for our giant baby! Hes 10 months old and 26 pounds, he stands as tall as this gate, is cruising and banging around on the gate, and still cant get out. I see people have complained about it being lightweight and moveable, and yes if it was on carpet he would push it around but there are rubber pads on the feet and they hold fast on our hardwood floors. We even put down a rug under it so he has padding and he cant move it off the rug. To address it being built like a ladder, yes the detail is ladder-like, but the holes are only big enough for his big toe. He could never use the side to climb, the spaces just arent big enough. Youll want to watch putting any toys in here they can climb on though lol. The indivual gates are, in fact, one hand release and just as easy to snap back together. I only took off one star for ease of assemby because the thing is so big that when youre first trying to set it up you have to unfold it completely and its so long its pretty unweildy, but after you get it into the shape you want it its perfect. Weve used it as a gate as well as an enclosed space, and its obviously sturdier as an enclosure but itll do for a gate if its what you have.

Greater than one weekThis is a great product for the price and the use. If you have a new crawler or an about to be walker this is perfect. I have read some reviews of people’s infants climbing out due to the design. And I have seen my baby out her foot up on it and try to grip with her toes. She is not strong enough to pull up yet but seems to know she could push with her feet. Once she gets the idea I’m sure this will only be good to block off areas and not as a play pen. Other than that as long as you keep it in with either a hexagon or an octagon with the 2 panel pack the angles at each joint stay steep enough to provide adequate support. The added idea of putting grass spikes on the bottoms for the yard is great. If you have a flat yard with good grass , about like cheep tent spikes. They will not go into rocky ground. Overall for the price. This is perfect for my 10 month old. I got the 2 extra panels and it is a very nice sized play area for her in my living room. Allows me to clean and be in the kitchen while she safely plays.

> 3 dayI took this to softball practice and softball games it contained my child in a couple of other parents kids also. It is lightweight but sturdy enough to keep them in it does fall over if they push on it like two toddlers it will fall over but it also contains what you need to contain.

> 3 dayI have used a few different fences, as a mom and grandma and this is my favorite one. I found eight sections is awesome, if you have the room for that many panels. It is the easiest to fold up and to open like a gate on any section. Plus I love that it has those steaks you can pull out and put in the bottom of each connection when using it outside on the grass. Good for indoors and outdoors. I would highly recommend.
