> 3 dayI have a few stick vacs in different areas of the house and this is replacing one of them. It runs about ten minutes on high, which I expected, because all of mine run about that long on high. It doesnt charge as quickly as another that I have, it takes over an hour and a half to fully charge. There is a charging indicator of lights on the side of the handle that shows how far from fully charged it is. Charging is easy just plug into the back of the handle. I do wish it charged more quickly. What I like about this one compared to my others is that the beater brush attachment to vacuum rugs/floor is FAR superior to any that I own. It really picks stuff up! The attachments go on and off easily with the press of a button. This is actually much easier than any of my others. While they all have a button to push, this one I can do with one finger, very easily, to release the attachment. This one is very easy to dump the canister and clean both filters. Very easy. Im on the fence about the trigger. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I dont. To operate this you have to constantly press the trigger. I like it because to stop it if I have to move furniture I just take my finger off the trigger and it stops. Other times I dislike it because, not to be a wimp, but sometimes my finger gets fatigued from pressing it for ten minutes. I know, I know. Maybe theres a way to not have to press the trigger constantly, but I wouldnt know because mine didnt come with any instructions. The suction power is excellent! It also comes with a wall hanger to hold the stick vac and attachments. If it gets clogged it would be extremely easy to dislodge the clog because you can easily access all the parts of the vacuum/hose.

> 3 dayI have been using a Dyson V7 vacuum for years and have been quite happy with it. I have even replaced the battery a few times. But it was finally time for an upgrade, so I ordered this new V8 model. I could tell as soon as I took it out of the box that it has much more power than my V7. The battery lasts a lot longer as well. This vacuum is equally at home on carpet or hardwood floors. You can also use it as a handheld vacuum to clean your car or get into tight spaces. With my V7 I would get frustrated that the battery would sometimes die before I was finished cleaning, so I would have to wait for it to recharge so I could continue. But I have never had that problem with this V10 since the battery lasts so long. If you can afford to spend a little more, I still recommend the V10, since it has a little more power and even longer battery life. But if you can get the V8 on sale, its one of the best values in a quality cordless vacuum that youll find. I highly recommend this model based on my experience with it so far.

Heyburds!
> 3 dayI tried using a Dyson years ago when they came out. Great cordless vacuum, but you MUST hold down the on button for it to work, nor will it stay upright alone. Honestly, after all these years it has not changed much. I have carpel tunnel so having to hold an on button on gets painful after a few minutes. Not sure why it does not stand alone either, basic vacuums that cost less have this convenient feature. The positives: suction is fantastic and there are 2 settings. The vacuum does not make a lot of noise and is nice looking. It is lightweight and hangs on the wall, remember it does not stand by itself. The holding tank is a decent size too and cleaning it is simple enough. Unfortunately, because of my hands this is not the right vacuum for me. Did I mention the suction is the BEST?? Dyson needs to upgrade the simple things on this vacuum.

> 3 dayWhere to start, this is a BAD vacuum. Suction is so terrible, I kept passing over SAME strands of hair and dust collections again and again, turns out if you add ANYTHING to the vacuum any extension tube it comes with or its accessories the suction is GONE. I test and feel with my hand, quite good suction without anything attached, put just a brush and suction drops to nothing. Maneuverability is terrible, back and forth only. Every extension is stiff no joints does not permit movement. Corners and edges and this vacuum neither has power nor shape to clean there. MAX power overheats and the battery life on MAX is 3 minutes, no joke, in just 3 minutes only cleaned under the desk and from full battery went depleted. After depleting, I placed vac in the charger and already had 2 LEDs like it charged some instantly meaning the battery already having cell memory effect. Filter is cleaned and dust bin is empty after each use. Nothing to excuse it here, this is just a terrible vacuum.

> 3 dayI got this Dyson v8 to replace my v6 animal and its a great upgrade. I can clean my upstairs and downstairs before the battery dies. It has much stronger suction power and extra filtration. The max mode still runs the battery down faster so I avoid using it unless needed. The dust bin slides out for easy emptying, the vacuum is very lightweight and it can easily clean under tight spaces. Another great vacuum cleaner by Dyson.
