I have been using the same deodorant since I was in middle school (Gillette Clear Gel Men’s Antiperspirant and Deodorant). I wanted to try something different and get something without aluminum. In previous purchases that I have tried before it has always backed fired and I end up getting a rash, smelling horribly, or not lasting long enough. With this deodorant none of the above mentioned have occurred thankfully. I think the only difference I feel is since I have been using a gel aluminum deodorant for so long, my body has gotten used to it and now I feel my arm pits sweating more than before, no stink or smell but I like that it protects me without the smell. Thankful I found this deodorant and made the change.

With this formula change (from 48 to 72 hours), they changed scent completely. It doesnt smell anything like what extra fresh used to smell like. It smells really offensive to me, like a bottle of coconut or pineapple rum. Like a day at the beach with really strong sunscreen. The smell lingered on my clothes even after I washed them. Its terrible. I have no opinion on how well it works, or how it compares to the old formulation in terms of effectiveness or sensitivity because I was only willing to use it once due to the smell (and Im still regretting even using it once). Also who needs 72 hour deodorant? If youre not showering for three days are you really the kind of person whos super concerned about how you smell? It would be great if the new formula was better for sensitivity or didnt stain clothing as much as the old one, but Ill never know because Im not going to use it if it smells like this. Ive returned all the unopened ones. I guess Ill keep the one I did open as a warning to others.

Over the years, I have become sensitive to the aluminum (always scratching my pits like a monkey) in most major brands of antiperspirants. This product has no aluminum and the scent is not objectionable. No smelling like a locker room or like an old-timey sailor. So Im pretty pleased.

Every aluminum free deodorant I’ve ever bought just never worked well and didn’t last. This is the first that lasted!

it smells good but do more then nothing and it melts right off.

The new 72 hour version smells good. It lasts whole day. I definitely recommend it!

If you dont mind smelling like coconut/citrus then here u go. Not a fan.
