I love the deodorant itself, but it breaks after a couple of uses. Very inconvenient.

Love the sleek housing, love the scent, hate to design of the deodorant , it breaks. I bought two replacements, and each one broke before I even put it in the housing. I would love to buy another one if they fix that design.

Broke both sticks off at the base within the first few attempts of using them. Completely useless as deodorant but would make a great bar of soap if youre into that sort of thing. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Save your money.

This product is great but the cover doesn’t stay on and so if you’re not careful you end up dropping the deodorant itself which comes off the base immediately and has to be thrown away

It was very lightly scented, from past products Ive bought. After an hour, you couldnt even smell it.

i’ve used this deodorant for about a year now with no major issues! if you’re a heavy sweater and stink a lot, i don’t know that i’d recommend, but for everyday use i’ve had no issues! one refill lasts me about 3 months, where i apply with ~3 swipes in the morning (up down up) and a bit after showering at night. i love that the case is smaller than typical deodorant and i can always tell how much i have left! as someone who’s very conscious of my spending and the environment, i like to poke out the bits that get stuck in the plastic once it’s been all used up. i keep these bits in one of the plastic cases the refills come in and take a silicone applicator to swipe those on too!! nothing goes to waste :). (also having a sleek and simple deodorant looks so much nicer sitting out than a brightly colored plastic tube imo)

Ive been trying so hard to reduce my use of single use plastic: ditching toothpaste tubes, shampoo bottles, disposable razors and etc.. Ive tried natural deodorants, that dont work so well, and still come in a plastic dispenser. I was thrilled to learn Dove was making a refillable deodorant , since I had used Dove deodorants for for probably 30 years.. Then, disappointed to read the reviews where so many people complained the stick broke off the dispenser after a few uses.. I decided to give it a try anyway and so glad I did! I just have to ask: how hard do you scrub your deodorant into your armpit? Me, I just give it a few gentle swipes and Ive had no problem with the stick breaking off... the scent is great and lasts all day. Good to remember, this is *not* an antiperspirant, but a deodorant..

I purchased the starter kit and two refills thinking this would be a great way to reduce my use of plastics. Unfortunately, upon opening the deodorant pod, I knew this would be a poor experience. So I kept my empty deodorant that I had just finished. So I gingerly began using the starter pack. Even though I was gently applying the deodorant, it broke off after exactly 7 days. So I pulled out the saved deodorant, twisted the base up as far as I could so I could remove it, and cleaned it out. I then took the broken deodorant and smashed it onto the base from my old deodorant stick. It was a mess! Not only because I got deodorant all over my hands, but because the refillable deodorant is slightly longer than the disposable one. So some of it was shaved off in the process. However, I was able to make this work, and the deodorant was easy to wash off my hands. Dove really should come up with a better refillable version of this. It’s a great idea, but poor execution. Perhaps cardboard or another eco-friendly packaging rather than refillable. I don’t know, but this isn’t the the way to go. I don’t recommend unless you want to purchase the refills to insert into your current deodorant case. It would cut down on waste, but be ready to get a bit messy. Pics are of the broken deodorant base and of my completed hack.
