Greater than one weekI have lower back problems along with pain in my left butt. It is so painful sometimes that I can’t sit or lay on my left side. Sitting on this cushion takes the pressure off and helps me sit more comfortably.

Greater than one weekI had bought this for relief from my back surgery - a major back fusion surgery. And I got amazing relief from it. I bring it everywhere I have to go. In the car, when I have to go to doctors appts, in my chair here at home. It is a life saver. High quality and really supports my lower back and relieving pain in my tail bone. Recently, my father in laws prostate cancer traveled into his tailbone area. I purchased this same product for him and he too gets a great deal of relief. Highly recommend this product if you are looking to get relief from pain in the lower back and/or tailbone area.

> 3 dayThis is OK, but not great. I just had surgery and need a donut seat. The problem is the hole is not big enough from front to back or high enough over the front and back divots so the tender areas are not fully isolated. This works for short bursts of seating (about 10 minutes), but not much longer. While will not return it, i probably would not buy it again.

> 3 dayI sit all day and have issues with my back and did not have a very comfortable office chair. This is pricey, but worth it! Since I got this, I have been comfortable in my old rickety chair and had less pain on my bottom and back.

12-11-2024Or, at least thats what I thought at first. Okay (sigh), bring it on. Ill try anything, I guess...at this point, I was desperate. This was the most expensive of several similar-looking products, but I figured the more expensive item would mean the most quality seat cushion, right? When it arrived, I thought a mistake had been made. The box was TINY, not nearly big enough to fit a nice, plush seat cushion. I opened the box, and was sure a mistake had been made. It just wasnt thick enough. I had been sitting on TWO seat cushions...one on top of the other, and they had been permanently mashed down, almost literally paper thin. Those two cushions were both highly rated and now they had been reduced to thin, rock-hard pain inducers. How was this thin, little donut-style cushion going to be any different? Oh, well, I guess I’ll just have to go through the hassle of returning it. Then, I put it on my chair and sat down on it. HOLY MOLY! How could this be? For the first time in nearly a year, I didnt feel any pain while sitting. After a long, pain-free, several hour session at the computer, this little donut bounced right back. Surely, after several more long sessions at the computer, the orthopedic donut cushion would stop bouncing back and turn into another thin, rock-hard pain inducer. It kept bouncing back after supporting my weight (235 pounds) for several more hours! Same thing the next day! Only time will tell if this cushion continues to bounce back, but so far, I’m impressed! The “Orthopedic Donut Cushion” by Ergonomic Innovations is simply amazing. I was having excruciating tailbone pain and occasional hemorrhoid pain. Not anymore! The Orthopedic Donut Cushion was obviously different from all other similar products. It wasn’t like any other “memory foam” cushion I had ever tried. If you push down hard with your thumb, it doesn’t dent nearly as easily as other memory foam cushions. Either this is a much firmer version of memory foam, or it’s not really memory foam at all, but something new and different. I don’t know how the other similar donut-shaped seat cushions on Amazon would have fared, but this higher-priced donut cushion is well worth the money. I wholeheartedly recommend the Orthopedic Donut Cushion by Ergonomic Innovations. It simply works brilliantly and lives up to the hype. Believe it!

> 3 dayWOW! Who would have thought the donut beats the everlasting seat cushion, HANDS DOWN?! I have pretty bad tail bone pain and I bought the Everlasting seat cushion first. The next day I figured, meh, let’s buy both just in case one isn’t great. Thank god I did cuz the everlasting one didn’t work after day 2. It’s a great cushion but def NOT for tail bone pain! I can’t believe the reviews for the everlasting cushion FOR TAILBONES! Those people must not have REAL pain back there! The simple donut has a low cushion spot for the tailbone vs the missing piece on the everlasting, this has to be the reason for the difference. All I know is you should buy this Donut! I use to use the Eggsitter, it was great but it was years old and then I developed this new tailbone pain so it was time for a new seat. THANK GOD FOR THE DONUT! I’ve already bought backups for camping, car etc. I’ve used it for 3 months now before I reviewed.
