Designer Luggage Collection - Expandable 28 Inch Softside Bag - Durable Large Ultra Lightweight Checked Suitcase with 8-Rolling Spinner Wheels (Black)

I purchased this piece of last November and used it twice, once at Thanksgiving and once at Christmas. I have not used it since, and just got it out of storage to use it again. Much to my dismay, I noticed the fabric handle is 1/2 torn away on the seam from the luggage. Since I only use the extender bar to carry it, I had not seen the tear. This should not have happened after two uses or at all for that matter. I am very upset and would like to know what can be done about it .

After first trip it looked 5 years old. Black blotches all over that wont come off and get worse with each trip. Wheels dont work well on carpeted area of airport.

I wanted a spinner wheel suitcase because the most important thing to me was how it maneuvered with weight in it while in the airport and other places. I tested the Lucas ultralight by putting 3, 20 lb bottles of cat litter(yes, I have 2 cats) inside the suitcase and then walking it around my garage floor. At 60 pounds it maneuvered okay but required some gental adjustment of the suitcase itself to point the wheels in the right direction, especially when changing direction, but doable. At 40 pounds it maneuvered very well with very little adjustment needed to the suitcase while walking. The suitcase was perfect for me. I never go over the 50 lb limit anyway, but if I did go over the 50 lbs, I think this suitcase would work very well. I had a spinner with a single wheel in each of the 4 slots that did not roll well at all when weighted down. The two wheels for each slot totaling 8 Wheels works so much better. Since the ad does not show you a picture of the inside, the inside has one big compartment for all the major clothes/items, and on the inside lid it has three smaller organizer compartments, as well as the outside compartments on the lid. This suitcase was a great buy. It performed very well and I recommend it very much!

Easy to use

The first time I used this suitcase, the zipper became completely detached from the suitcase. I had to buy a new suitcase for my return home. I brought the defective case back with me as it was covered under a warranty, but it seems the company that issues the warranty is non-existent. Its impossible to submit a claim online. No one answer phone or responds to emails. No customer service.

Ok I love the light weight and it is VERY practical. I wish the look was a little more sophisticated but you cant have everything. This is GREAT value for money.

It is very light which is a plus. We had durable luggage that weighed more than the contents. That is not good.

Outside pocket zipper ripped after one flight and the warranty means absolutely nothing. The company 24-7 int that handles the warranty initially did not respond to my emails. Then they requested a photo. I sent it several times. He offered me $20 for the repair of the zipper and never sent even that. We all know it would cost much more than that to fix a zipper on luggage. Only nice thing about this luggage is that it is lightweight. Otherwise, it cannot withstand much handling but the baggage handlers.

Loved this lightweight large blue bag when it arrived - the color was bright and easily identifiable and it was easy to maneuver with the spinner wheels. But after less than a year and a few international trips, its falling apart! The top seams closest to the handle have pulled apart and the front zipper broke off. Im very disappointed that this bag failed.
