> 3 dayI got the 24 inch, adjustable model. Screen quality is great for everyday computing. Adjustability is fantastic to find the height and angle I want. However, I gave four stars because Amazons title on the ordering page is misleading. If you chose the adjustable options, the monitor DOES NOT have built in speakers. It does have an audio out port that I am able to hook up to a set of speakers

> 3 dayI am an application developer (programmer) during the day and a hobbyist photographer with dreams of making it big someday in the photography industry. This monitor is amazing for both. This monitor is both a horizontal and vertical monitor. It works in both orientations and is simple to rotate. I set this up next to my normal (horizontal) monitor in the vertical orientation. It is awesome for web browsing, Microsoft Outlook (or similar email program), Twitter, and portrait photos. Generally, anything where you have long-form scrolling, this works great. I originally thought the bottom bezel with the Dell log was going to bother me when I put it in the vertical position, but it hasnt at all, and I dont even see it anymore. This is a great monitor for vertical tasks and makes a nice wide monitor for horizontal tasks. Overall, I am very pleased with it and recommend it.

> 3 dayThis is a great entry/mid level monitor. I have no issues with this and like that it the monitor swivels both left and right and and be positioned vertically. The image quality and responsiveness is extremely quick with no glitches. I use this as an extended monitor display for work and for personal use in photography, surfing the web, working in Excel and its great. Not flimsy at all, the stand is functional and stylish which does not make it an eye sore.

Greater than one weekPlaying on this Dell monitor made me fall in love with League of Legends again. The colors and quality of the screen some of the best I’ve seen. Perfect for slow paced gaming and office work Quality of the stand and monitor itself, very impressed given I’ve never been a big fan of Dells style GAMING - I’d have to say just with the gaming I do, which is mainly League, COD and Fortnite, I recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a good monitor (not the new Gen stuff) I have this next to three other dells and I have to say, quad monitors would be beautiful with this design and color Entertainment - I stream EVERYTHING and this didn’t disappoint when my kid demands the big tv and I get stuck on my monitors lol so movies and sports look amazing! Colors are accurate and pop especially when watching football Recommend for anyone just looking for a good quality monitor that won’t break the bank!

> 3 dayIf you are into gaming or content creation, this is not the monitor for you. If you are a casual computer user and just need a reasonable monitor for your day-to-day emails and social media, look no further.

> 3 dayFrankly, not much of a review of the screen itself because its perfect. Might as well be a photograph. I do note the viewing angle is so wide that it has no color or picture shifting even when you look at it totally from the side edge on. I do stream video sometime on it (Amazon Prime Video, NetFlix, etc.) and I might as well be watching a TV. I Dont use it for gaming (I dont do shot em ups or GTA stuff) so cant comment about that. Specs look good, but gamers are super hard core about bleeding, ghosting, etc. so no opinion there. I will say that blacks are very black, which is good, not the funky dark brown/green/blotchy/yuk stuff. I had a SE2717H (prior model of this one) that died after being on 24/7 for over two years. My other SE2717H is going strong and right next to this one. Picture is awesome, I love the IPS screen and I can work all day on it with no eye strain. IPS is all I buy anymore for myself or recommend to others. There are slightly better technologies out there now, but not for the money, especially MY money.

> 3 dayUpgraded my home office and got two of these Dell monitors along with a Dell D3100 unit which connects to my laptop via USB 3.x and allows me to connect three additional monitors. My old Inspiron 5559 works just great with all three items. Monitor pictures are sharp and crisp. The height adjustment along with the tilt is extremely nice to get just the right view. Thin bezel is excellent. No regrets.

> 3 dayThis 24” offering from Dell is another step in the direction they take every year, with very slight improvements each time. While it does have a 75Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync, there is nothing especially spectacular about this monitor. Its features include: • 75Hz refresh rate • AMD FreeSync • 4ms response time • IPS panel with matte antiglare • Near-edgeless design • VESA 100 mounting compatible • Adjustable stand allows for pan, tilt, height, and rotation Color usage on this monitor is very good due to the IPS display. The matte antiglare screen dumbs the colors slightly, but it still looks good. The near-edgeless display is nice, and the back of the monitor is pretty stylish. It is VESA 100 capable, which is a huge plus. The 75Hz refresh rate has been common in Dell monitors for years, and this is no exception. The inclusion of FreeSync is very much welcome, but beyond that, this is roughly the same monitor they put out last year, and the year before. It’s good, but offers very little image customization options beyond a helpful blue-light filter and some presets. The best thing about this specific monitor is the adjustable stand (which is optional). The stand is not only sturdy, it is also elegant. It allows for side-to-side panning, up & down tilting, height adjustment, and 90-degree rotation, which puts the monitor in portrait mode. It’s simple, it’s attractive, and it works very well. I also want to go over some of the negative aspects of this monitor. The screen’s maximum brightness is a paltry 250 nits. As a result, the contrast between light and dark elements is weak, and the screen may not get as bright as you might expect (though I have no complaints). This also means that HDR is not supported. There are no built-in speakers on this model either – for clarity, I received the S2421HS with adjustable stand. The monitor also has a poor viewing angle, but that is a fault of most IPS panels in general. Lastly, it is thicker than I expected, with a curved back that is thickest in the middle and thinnest near the edges. There is no shortage of 1080p monitors targeting the office/home office demographic, so a monitor either needs to stand out, or have already been a household name beforehand. This monitor unfortunately does not stand out from the pack, though it is attractive. With that said, it is a Dell product, and if Dell is anything, they are reliably consistent. That’s what you get with the S2421HS – a reliable, consistent, small step up from last year’s model. A no frills monitor that gets the job done. Therefore, I do recommend it, but not at its current price.

> 3 dayI was very excited to get this monitor. It looks absolutely gorgeous, to start. I got this specifically because I wanted an upgrade on my older screen. The colors are amazing. The lighting exceptional. It does not hurt my eyes or makes them strain. The thin bezel simply puts an exclamation point to the quality of this monitor. I am very happy and I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for clarity and vividness from their screens. I also think it is perfect for gaming and watching movies. Thank you.
