Frankly, not much of a review of the screen itself because its perfect. Might as well be a photograph. I do note the viewing angle is so wide that it has no color or picture shifting even when you look at it totally from the side edge on. I do stream video sometime on it (Amazon Prime Video, NetFlix, etc.) and I might as well be watching a TV. I Dont use it for gaming (I dont do shot em ups or GTA stuff) so cant comment about that. Specs look good, but gamers are super hard core about bleeding, ghosting, etc. so no opinion there. I will say that blacks are very black, which is good, not the funky dark brown/green/blotchy/yuk stuff. I had a SE2717H (prior model of this one) that died after being on 24/7 for over two years. My other SE2717H is going strong and right next to this one. Picture is awesome, I love the IPS screen and I can work all day on it with no eye strain. IPS is all I buy anymore for myself or recommend to others. There are slightly better technologies out there now, but not for the money, especially MY money.

Great 1080P monitor. The colors are very accurate, its very bright and the stand can be adjusted in practically every direction. Overall Id recommend this monitor to anyone considering it.

I was very excited to get this monitor. It looks absolutely gorgeous, to start. I got this specifically because I wanted an upgrade on my older screen. The colors are amazing. The lighting exceptional. It does not hurt my eyes or makes them strain. The thin bezel simply puts an exclamation point to the quality of this monitor. I am very happy and I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for clarity and vividness from their screens. I also think it is perfect for gaming and watching movies. Thank you.

I got this monitor because I have a 25 monitor that already has thin bezel and wanted a 2nd one so I can use dual screen now that Im working from home. And frankly I saw one review that said that this monitor isnt good for business use, if anything, I would say this would be a good monitor for business use actually. Its IPS so if you move around, the colors wont fade or darken unlike VA/TN screens. Its VESA mount compatible so that means you can also use your existing arm mounts if you have any. But more importantly, it for some reason has FreeSync but only up to 75Hz so it wont be great for competitive gaming but this is still very useful in other features like mouse movements and overall smoothness of high refresh rates (possibly good for some folks eyes). Summary: I would recommend this to anyone that seeks to use this for home working. Its easy to hook up and the UI for calibrating colors isnt that bad compared to other manufacturers. Its very consumer friendly is what Id like to say and compared to what I paid a year ago for a more expensive monitor but less features, Id say this is a decent buy if you can get it sub $130-140. Please note that Im reviewing the S2421H(S) so this one doesnt have speakers. The S2421H does have speakers but this one doesnt have VESA mounting. Pros: + 75Hz/ FreeSync (for those with amd graphics crads) + VESA mounting (allows you to use other stands and articulating arms) but the adjustable stand is already sweet in case you didnt want to drop anymore money on a separate stand + IPS (gives me less headaches than TN/VA, viewing angles are great and this one didnt have significant light bleeding too but Ill also add this as a con since thats inherent in all IPS screens unfortunately) + Has DP 1.2 (this is what you need to use in order to get 75Hz though, you wont get this on your HDMI ports) + Audio line out port (so in lieu of speakers, this monitor gives you this instead if you wanted to connect your headphones to this but in this day and age, I dont think most people will use this port) Cons: - IPS panels will bleed light in some capacity and it sucks but Dell has a better panel lottery than other manufactures in my opinion - only HDMI cable included, no DP cable - out of the box, the monitor will need to be calibrated, it was a bit too yellow/orange for my taste so youll need to work on the color science a bit

I am an application developer (programmer) during the day and a hobbyist photographer with dreams of making it big someday in the photography industry. This monitor is amazing for both. This monitor is both a horizontal and vertical monitor. It works in both orientations and is simple to rotate. I set this up next to my normal (horizontal) monitor in the vertical orientation. It is awesome for web browsing, Microsoft Outlook (or similar email program), Twitter, and portrait photos. Generally, anything where you have long-form scrolling, this works great. I originally thought the bottom bezel with the Dell log was going to bother me when I put it in the vertical position, but it hasnt at all, and I dont even see it anymore. This is a great monitor for vertical tasks and makes a nice wide monitor for horizontal tasks. Overall, I am very pleased with it and recommend it.

Theres nothing objectionable about this screen, though also nothing particularly remarkable. The colors, to my eyes, lean towards warmer hues—slightly more yellow/red than some of my other screens, but it’s consistent enough that I don’t notice. The pixel density is nothing to write home about, but I’ve owned far worse. Text pixels are especially prone to clumping. It has a high refresh rate, which I like. There are two features I really love though: the bezels around the top and sides are very tiny, which makes apps in full screen look cool and weird. And it can rotate 90° and make room for a second such monitor. I havent availed myself of that particular feature, but it’s cool.

This is false advertising, the monitor comes with a cd ( who uses CD), tried to download drivers. Everything was not fruitful. No speakers detected, so no sound or conference calls happening. Don’t waste your money. Returning mine so I’m trying to save someone else time and money

I got the 24 inch, adjustable model. Screen quality is great for everyday computing. Adjustability is fantastic to find the height and angle I want. However, I gave four stars because Amazons title on the ordering page is misleading. If you chose the adjustable options, the monitor DOES NOT have built in speakers. It does have an audio out port that I am able to hook up to a set of speakers

I use it for basic web browsing and watching movies. Great resolution (for what I need). My only regret is not buying more than one.
