> 3 dayThis monitor doesnt have a lot of the frills that modern displays boast. It also has a very attractively low price tag relative to its large size and generally good specs (ok, maybe 1080p isnt good specs these days, but Ive been computing since we used CRTs, I havent actually found I *need* 4K personally). It wont let you down in any way related to being a monitor, it definitely is the size that it says, and finally the viewing angles are indeed top notch. Great brightness too. I like its on-board image processing features pretty well, as they allow a good range of adjustment to color/brightness match other displays. Im very pleased with my purchase. If you are looking for something basic, but great at the job that it does, here it is.

> 3 dayWhen my 28 inch Hanns-g monitor died after ten or more years of service I searched for the same, but found the price had jumped quite a bit on the brand. Wanting a more economical buy I found this 27 inch Dell on Amazon. Although Im a Mac user I have some experience with PC products and IMHO Dell is the best of those companies, offering quality products at good prices. So I didnt hesitate when I saw this model on sale for $149. I tested its vga connection then went with HDMI, which Id recommend. Running it off an Asus GeForce 710 I was very impressed with the beautiful naturalistic skin tones in videos and the fine details. I dont play video games so the 2GB card is plenty for me. Very happy with this monitor.

> 3 dayI needed an external monitor for my MacBook Pro for use primarily with Adobe Lightroom, and I couldnt decide on one. I tested this Dell, a lower-priced Spectre, and a higher-priced Philips 4K. All 27. Well, this monitor is the keeper. For a non-4K 27 monitor, Im quite impressed. Text isnt noticeably jaggy. Brightness & contrast are strong, colors are clear, robust and consistent. Matches my MacBook displays color (or, certainly close enough even for my picky eye) right out of the box with no tinkering to settings needed. Im connecting with a USB-C to HDMI cable, I made sure to get a cable that was rated for this purpose (easy to find on Amazon). The setup couldnt have been easier. I usually dont take time to write reviews but Im really happy with this monitor. I have no long-term info yet, Ive only had it a few days. For the price, Id say it would be really difficult (if not impossible) to find a higher quality monitor. If youre looking for a gaming monitor, you might want to go with a non-IPS model for the faster refresh rates (that said, I havent tried using this with my PS4 yet). If your primary use is photo / video editing, IPS is the way to go (based on my recent research) for richer, consistent colors.

> 3 dayFrankly, not much of a review of the screen itself because its perfect. Might as well be a photograph. I do note the viewing angle is so wide that it has no color or picture shifting even when you look at it totally from the side edge on. I do stream video sometime on it (Amazon Prime Video, NetFlix, etc.) and I might as well be watching a TV. I Dont use it for gaming (I dont do shot em ups or GTA stuff) so cant comment about that. Specs look good, but gamers are super hard core about bleeding, ghosting, etc. so no opinion there. I will say that blacks are very black, which is good, not the funky dark brown/green/blotchy/yuk stuff. I had a SE2717H (prior model of this one) that died after being on 24/7 for over two years. My other SE2717H is going strong and right next to this one. Picture is awesome, I love the IPS screen and I can work all day on it with no eye strain. IPS is all I buy anymore for myself or recommend to others. There are slightly better technologies out there now, but not for the money, especially MY money. Screen height is the same as the prior model so they go next to each other just fine. It is not adjustable up and down, only tilts front to back so it needs to be matched in hit to, not adjusted to match another monitor. There are no VESA mounting holes on the back so it must sit on the desk. The bezel is paper thin on this one (about 1/2 on the SE2717) but appears to be just under 1/4 due to the black edge on the panel itself. For $139.99 with next day delivery, you cant go wrong. Slight difference in the two is one is hooked up VGA and the other hooked up HDMI as they are the outputs on my PC. When I swapped the cables, the slight difference moved as well. The older model is on the left and is still running after two years being on and the new one is on the right. Packaging was the Dell box inside of a larger Amazon box with padding around the Dell box as well. I LOVE my Amazon delivery guys as the boxes always arrive without even a scratch. I have MS and now work from home exclusively and have had the Amazon guys actually carry stuff in for me. I cant say enough good stuff about them. Ordered Sunday, and arrived by 9:00 am Monday. In time for me to hook it up in place of the dead one and start my day. Super impressed. Didnt expect it until evening.

> 3 dayThis monitor appears to be a damn good deal after approximately one month of use. The picture is crisp, clear, and sharp. The overall quality seems to be exceptional. And the value for the money is better than I expected. I reserve the right to revisit the durability rating in the next few months as one month isnt enough time to fully know how the monitor will stand up. My gut instinct says its going to be okay, but you ever can tell. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor.

Greater than one weekI had re-arranged my computer desk, and I realized I had room to upgrade my 6 year old 21 monitor. After reading a bunch of reviews, I decided on this Dell 27 (I ordered a Displayport to HDMI converter cord as well). Monitor arrived on time and well packed in a box in a box. I put the stand together in seconds and had everything hooked up in a couple of minutes...very easy! I powered up the monitor, and after a select language prompt, I powered up my 2 year old HP computer. Everything worked perfectly the first time! No bad pixels, and the display is very nice... especially for the price. I keep my studio dark, so I ended up turning the brightness way down to 5%, and the contrast up to 80%. I also adjusted my fonts a bit since I have so much screen space now... MUCH easier on the eyes! Im super happy at this point...Ill update if there are any problems in the future. All in all, its a beautiful monitor, it was a painless setup, and I highly recommend it! Merry Christmas to me! Have a good day!

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to use with my Macbook Air when Im at my desk. I didnt necessarily need 27 of screen but this was cheaper than the 24 model at the time so I took the plunge. I am happy with the monitor so far (it was just delivered today). The monitor has a sleek design- a very thin bezel, buttons on the bottom of the screen so they arent visible from the front and a slick back with the Dell logo across it. The monitor works great with my laptop and has clear, crisp images. Im sure that there are better monitors out there if youll be using it for a lot of streaming or gaming but Ill mainly be using it for shopping, bill paying, youtube, etc so you cant beat it for that. Im happy with my purchase. Side note- I did see a review about the scuff marks on the monitor when it was unpacked and mine also had these. I feel like the soft white wrap that the monitor ships in rubs against the screen and leaves the scuff or smudge marks on the screen. I used a damp paper towel and very lightly scrubbed the screen, then dried it with a towel. I had to do this several times but each time I did it, the smudge marks were less and less noticeable. After a few times the marks on the screen were completely gone! So if yours has these when you unbox it, dont stress- just lightly rub with a damp paper towel and theyll be gone in no time.

> 3 dayI have a 32 monitor as my main monitor, and every time I put the resolution at 1080p, the screen looks heavily pixelated. After purchasing this monitor on a hunch, I was amazed by the quality of the picture at 1080p, and even more with the clarity and color vibrancy. This monitor is mainly for my wifes photo editing and color combinations for her business, and I would only use it for purposes like such; definitely not recommended for gaming unless you can settle for the 60Hz. The game will look good for sure, but you will have severe blur on fast paced scenarios.
