Really dig the Crucial MX500 series. Fast, excellent 4K random read, great endurance. Storing data on SSD makes life so nice. Blender is much snappier now.

I have no complaints about this drive. It is the second MX500 I own. I also have an mSATA form-factor MX500 on my motherboard. That one is a little annoying for having an activity indicator light, but is still a reliable and excellent drive. Just like this one. I am happy with my purchase.

Exactly what I thought - faster and more efficient than old drive!

The SSD has increased the boot up, the shut down and the general speed of my laptop dramatically. Cloning the HDD and the installation was easy.

I have used Crucial SSDs for about 3 years now and i have always been delighted with them, i am happy to say the MX500 is no different. I was tempted with an NVMe drive but after much research i decided that although they are much faster they are of little benefit to my needs and the higher capacity for the same cost from a normal SATA SSD would probably be a better option.

Astonishing improvement in my mid-2012 MacBook. High Sierra OS is designed for SSD storage, and the Mac really rockets along with that combination. Installation was a piece of cake (follow any of the many YouTube videos), didnt even need the spacer.
