Really makes a major difference on my late 2012 Mac mini. In just two words. REALLY FAST

Although SATA may not be the optimum connection for SSD, it sped up my old computer a lot. Startup (booting) now takes a few seconds, before it took many minutes. Everything is noticeably faster. The old hard disks tended to fail after 5 years or so, the Crucial MX500 is guaranteed for 5 years, so here is hoping it lasts. They say that the emptier an SSD is, the longer it will last, which is partly why I got the 2Tb version.

My expectancy was satisfied.

If you want to breathe new life into your old Mac/laptop this is a great card to use.

Replaced my primary hard disk with this SSD. My computer startup is now so rapid that my desktop appears almost immediately. I estimate it is four times faster than before.

After reading many reviews, I decided to go ahead and purchase this solid-state drive, it was an easy swap out and it saved me from having to buy a new Mac computer.

Great value

I purchased this specifically for cloning my old HDD with 200GB data to this 500GB SSD. Well, the software it ships with/recommends doesnt intelligently clone a larger HDD (2TB) with 200GB used to a 500GB SSD. I downloaded a totally different software, which created a partition and then cloned over fine. It blows my mind that this SSD suggests we use software that is worse than free alternatives online and create hassle when setting up the drive.
