Corsair RMX White Series (2018), RM850x, 850 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply - White, 80 PLUS Gold (CP-9020188-NA)

While Im confident a brand new RM650 would leave little to complain about for my rushed build, instead Ive received a slightly dusty (ergo - used) tx550 with missing cables tboot, an empty bottle of perrier water (?), 2 blackberry chargers (???) and a random hdd expansion bay packed away in the box that the cables are supposed to come in.

I started with 650w bronze in my build idea but I’m glad I switched to this for $30 more. The fan barely ever turns on unless I’m playing on high settings with a shooter game which I then never hear because I have a headset on.

Purchased the white RM850x to match with my white case! Everything looks good!

First order worked great until the fan kicked in for the first time and had a wonky fan bearing that caused the fan to rattle and hit the fan grill making a ton of noise. The second one looked good at first inspection but upon powering up it died, and took my motherboard with it. Waiting on replacement motherboard now to see if it fried anything else. My GPU survived but no idea on RAM, CPU, NVME drive, or any of my SATA devices (HDD, SSD, Fan controller, Cooler) until the new board gets here. I would **HIGHLY** recommend you dont bother with this supply and get an EVGA one instead. You can buy white cable extenders for 30-50 bucks depending on quality and not have to deal with the bs.

Great power supply. Does as advertised. The only difference I found between this model and the newest was that the wires were combed on the newer. I had little preference, so the extra savings was nice.

Was so excited to build my new pc. Read about how important it is to get a quality psu so I thought I chose the best. However unfortunately it wasn’t the best. I plugged everything in and counted down for the first time turn on and when I hit the power nothing happened. Psu was completely dead. Now I have to wait to get a new psu to see if anything else died or if the psu was just faulty. Fingers crossed nothing happened. Buy another psu

Not sure about noise level, it was easy to install but only gets 1 star because after 4 hours of troubleshooting it turns out the power supply was DOA and I had to go by Best Buy to buy another one to get my computer up and running.
