If you are getting this to push your hardware like a 3080ti and your cpu to its max I would recommend upgrading to an 1000 watt. This power supply is fine for anyone not trying to run hardware that is cutting it close to the 850 watt mark with other pc parts taken into consideration. I’m saying this cause after about a month of pushing my pc to its fullest playing games the power supply died on me.

Took the whole thing to PC laptops. They did a bunch of tests. Power supply was dead and took my whole build with it. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. Complete waste of money. Do not buy this. Absolutely pissed.

Since the covid 19 pandemic power supply prices have been crazy high. So now when possible one buys only the number of watts needed in a power supply. Yet one never wants to sacrifice quality on the alter of excess frugality. Corsair generally makes quality computer equipment and even cheaper bronze level its power supplies are better than the no name un-certified power supplies.

My computer needed some extra power and so when I was searching for a battery replacement, the dimensions had to be about the same size compared to my 550watt battery. This one specifically met all the size requirements for my tower AND packs a punch. Installation was easy and its super quiet.

Was good for a few days. Product installed fine and was performing quite well until last night. During routine use the computer did a hard boot and would fail to boot, almost as if the power supply was cycling. Disconnected all accessories and booted with just the CPU and Mobo. It would boot, but doing a voltage test would constantly drop below 12V to as low as 10 before Id shut it off....really disappointed. Waiting for an RMA and will install my old 750 to test, but based on reviews, there seem to be some bad PSUs out there.

Less noise
