> 24 hourI have used woven polyester floss for years with very good results, but the manufacturer has discontinued the product. I will not use the slick Teflon-based products, which are marginally effective. I stay away from the nylon-based products, which can abrade the gums too easily. This does not leave too many choices. My dentists hygienist is a big fan of Cocofloss, and recommended it last year. Based on its (rather exorbitant) price and some reports of fraying, I hesitated to purchase it. Now, I had little choice, and I purchased a 3-pack recently. Overall, I feel this is a very effective floss with excellent durability. [In years past, I tried samples of another woven floss product that tended to break and fray. I really do give dental floss a real workout.] The mint flavor also tastes quite refreshing. I feel the description ... lightly coated with microcrystalline wax is misleading. It is sufficiently wax-coated such that a 2 inch strand can be held vertically without flopping over. I find this somewhat annoying, because I am not a fan of wax-coated floss. Who knows? After I finish using my several month supply of this product, I may not mind it any more. BTW … I will mention again that the product is rather exorbitantly priced.

> 24 hourI was looking for a soft expanding when wet floss. This doesnt do that. Its too harsh on my gums. Does its job if this is the kind of floss you want.

> 24 hourI have been using this product religiously for several years now. In newer batches the product shreds more than it used it. The cost has also continued to rise - now $8.33 each. No discount for buying in bulk. Therefore, I am now looking for a replacement brand. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Can dental floss change your whole life?! I bought Cocofloss because of an ad on Facebook that said, Do you hate to floss? Why, yes, I do hate to floss! Its painful, annoying and the floss never seems to make much difference. Even though I have not fallen for a Facebook ad in seven years, I immediately ordered some. From the beginning I was in awe. It was pain-free and easily removed loads of gross stuff that I could not even believe was really stuck in my teeth. I waited until my dental cleaning a few days ago before making a final judgment. My hygienist said, There is hardly any plaque at all. Have you done anything different with your routine? I beamed and showed her the Cocofloss which I carry with me everywhere now. Its like an expanding floss but with some additional strong layer to make it non-shredding, and the coconut-oil-based wax keeps things in place. It is much more expensive than drugstore floss but on the plus side you can use much less product because its not slippery, even when wet. I have tried the mint and strawberry flavors so far. They are both mild and unobtrusive. My boyfriend also said hes totally hooked on this stuff and would not go back to any other floss, although he insisted on using unwaxed before. I have shared this wonderful product with other family members as well. This simple but genius product is going to make a big difference in our dental health in the years to come.

> 24 hourAs a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, I love trying out all new dental products and recommending the best products to improve my patients oral health and help with daily oral hygiene routines! I first heard about his product in dental hygiene school and couldnt wait to try it out! Well I finally ordered it and I have some pros and cons. Pros : - vegan and cruelty free - great flavors (I played it safe and ordered the mint flavor) - easily handling - no excess wax feeling on your fingers - no excessive mint flavor/smell - infused with vegan coconut oil cons: Ive used it on many patients so far and I can say that on many, not all, patients it is a little tough to easily see-saw the floss between the contacts (interproximals) of the teeth. But when flossing myself, I have no issues. So it may just be a patient by patient case, especially when flossing between PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crowns. And just a personal opinion, because I am a toothaholic, I noticed after using the floss for a few days, the calculus (tartar) buildup between my lower front teeth (mandibular anterior teeth) wasnt there. And usually even when I floss regularly with Reach mint waxed floss, there is some buildup left. Hmm...they could really be onto something with the infused coconut oil! But overall I would definitely recommended at least trying this floss! I love it! Will definitely be trying out the other flavors as well!

> 24 hourMy dentist carries samples of this and gave them to me after one of my cleanings. The best thing about it is the natural ingredients and mild flavor. It really gets in between your teeth because of how thick it is, and catches things that regular floss is too thin to catch. My partner told me its like flossing with yarn or rope and that he hates it, so I guess its not for everyone. But I really think it does a thorough job. A clever bonus is a little diagram on the back of the floss dispenser that shows you how many months/weeks/ days until the package runs out.

> 24 hourUpdate...as much as I didnt care for this floss my husband loves it and has had me order more. I will add some stars based on hia opinion. Tares easily, and leaves fibers between teeth and thats a problen. Too much plastic used for this day and age. This doesnt clean my teeth any better than the cheapest brand available disappointing.
