Chosen (Gem Creek Bears Book 1)

I like the plot and the characters. The premise is very interesting. I was disappointed in the lack of details and world building.

This was a quick read filled with action and mystery. The beginning starts off with a major conflict that leads to a new world for the main character. Im interested to see where the next book goes.

This was a quick read! I love how strong emotionally Tris is! She has a sass to her that I love. I am curious about the way this story will play out. Pick up this book, you will love it!

Holy moly, what an unexpected surprise when starting the first chapter! I was truly sitting on the edge of my chair from the very first page! It was suspenseful and tense, not at all how I thought this story was going to begin. Even though I started reading this late in the night, eyes going crossed eyed from being tired and trying to stay awake as I feed my little one to sleep this held my interest and got me excited to see where this story was going! The adrenaline for me started to die down around 20%, letting the character breathe. But once Tris got away and had her moment to calm down, I was like girl, go to the police even though I understood why she didnt. I also understood her want to put everything in the past but at the same time I was shocked how quickly she moved on and was already feeling at home at the campground after one night/day. Youd think after the trauma youve been through that youd want to take a couple days to recover and before youll feel comfortable not having to look over your shoulder. As Im writing this I think Im now realizing this whole story happened in just a couple days and how fast everything truly moved, even her finding a new love interest though her ex literally just tried to kill her. Even though things were moving fast it wasnt hard for myself to get distracted while reading this that there was a point where I kept having to reread sections because my mind easily wandered away. Maybe because of this I couldnt help but roll my eyes at certain things even though its literally spelled out in the blurb haha. The fact that the main girl is special and then chosen (thats when the title clicked for me) it all felt a bit too cliche. Including the fact that the first guy she meets is now her new love interest, another cliche. Overall, besides those two things and even though I love those cliches, it just got to me in this book and its probably because Im reading so much and fast lately that I might be getting burnt out, I still really enjoyed this book. Just as fast as the rest of the book I was shocked with how quickly things resolved in the end. Obviously it ended up creating more problems in the future and Im excited to see where this series goes!

This series is great,I love that Jennifer Snyder can write about all different kinds of things including different kinds of shifters. I like the bears so far lol. Its a great read and I always recommend Jennifer Snyders books for a break away from your day. This book can suck you in and the next thing you know its hours later and book is finished. Great job Jennifer!

Amazing! Though I HAD hoped for a bird shifter series of some sort like she did in the Willow Harbor series (a raven and an owl-was REALLY pulling for an owl shifter series :)) at least we got a new type of animal other than wolf...though I fear bear is the next wolf since another fave author Nikki Jefford included a bear shifter in her latest book of wolf shifters series...but it was awesome....LOVED the trailer park with gemstone names since it is named Gem Creek park because of a mine nearby....so that was a cute detail...but I am anxious to see where it goes...we BARELY got started before it ended (for now...)

Neat drama unfolds in this tale with tricks and traps setting the story. Light romance and magic evolves within the people.

This is the first book I have read by author Jennifer Snyder. I planned to start it, so I could read it tomorrow. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. Once I started, I couldnt put it down. The words flowed through the pages so smoothly and the characters came to life filling me with so many emotions. I love when a book does this! I felt desperate to find out what happened next. I flipped each page like my life depended on it and devoured every word. Too soon I hit the end and felt an emptiness begin to take hold. I need more! Thank goodness this is a series because I am going to start Captured Book 2 ASAP! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Shifters or paranormal. It is brilliantly written.

I love this series and cant wait for the final book comes out. I love the characters and all the twist and turns. I would recommend this author and all her books. But I am going to be so sad when the last and final book is out.

I very much enjoyed reading this! It was a fascinatingly different world and I’m interested to see how it ends.
