> 24 hourIm not kidding! This is the best little printer Ive ever seen. I previously owned a Dell. It was several years old, and the print jobs were just not up to par anymore. I ordered this one, and when I printed the first pictures, I couldnt believe it. I wish I had ordered it sooner.

> 24 hourCanons PIXMA MP480 all-in-one printer has a very nice presence. It is very sleek with many preference options; it is very user-friendly and easy to install. You must buy a USB cable; it does not come with the printer. Pros: The scanner and copier are good quality and have many options for professional images. The printer comes with useful software and free paper samples. The print quality is good (you must set the printer options correctly and use the right paper). The printer is very quick to respond and prints full coverage pages quickly. Cons: Ink: It will cost at least $40 to replace the ink for both the color and the black cartridges. (The ink lasts an average number of prints as compared to competitive printers.) There are only two cartridges, black and color, instead of the color-efficient 3 CMY cartridges. Durability: The printer is reasonably priced, but do not expect a heavy-duty printer at this cost. You will get what you are paying for. The shell of the printer is flimsy. It is made out of plastic. Overall, you will be pleased with this purchase and will be impressed with the quality of this deal!

> 24 hourThe Canon MP480 works great for my needs as a light-use USB-connected printer and scanner, and as a photocopier. Its inexpensive but provides quality color printing and excellent scans. I personally like the way it closes up with no exposed buttons or parts when not in use. For those in need of fax functionality, be aware that is not included.

> 24 hourIt is very easy to use and gets the job done, however it gets a lot of paper jams and the ink runs out quickly.

> 24 hourThis photo printer does a great job. Seriously. People are surprised when I tell them I printed it on my home printer. I can tell the difference, but I do have to agree that the quality is far superior to what I would expect from such an inexpensive printer. The ink absolutely DOES disappear quickly, and that is my one complaint. I love everything else about this printer!

> 24 hourinitially, I though the product came without a power cord and also the USB cord, I was wrong and found both of them tucked inside with the printer ink. The USB cord was a y cord and I plugged them both in. Set up was easy and automatic. I have an HP 8.1 computer and there was no problem in set up which was for Vista. If you do not have a internal rom drive, an external drive is needed to use the set up disk. Print went well immediately. Time will tell how long the printer will work and how well. My old cannon printer lasted many years and I am hoping this one will too. Just like my old printer this one makes noises too, but I do not care it does not bother me, but it might be annoying to some. The instruction manual was clear and detailed. I read some reviewers got duds, and that is terrible, and might be due to a lack of quality control.

> 24 hourThis is a wonderful printer for the price. It has a stand alone feature where you can use your memory card from a digital camera and print without being connected to your PC. The entire system workes great with Windows Vista, which is a plus. The ink cartridges are the easiest to install of any printer that I have had. I really had to have a preview window screen and could not find another printer with all these features at anywhere near this price.

> 24 hourI was one of the lucky ones who received this printer for free as part of a student deal at the Apple store where when you buy a laptop, you get a printer and iPod Touch for free. Best freebie ever. This has become one of my favorite printers and its been very reliable for me the past 5 years as an undergrad. Super fast at printing stuff so for someone who sometimes had to rush to get to class, it never failed me. As an artist, it scans and prints my pieces in pretty decent quality especially when printing from Photoshop. Good enough for what I need anyway. Also seems to be pretty conservative with ink since it took half a year with printing tons of stuff each day until I had to replace the ink cartridges. Even when it was on low ink, still was able to print out a couple of densely word packed, 50 page essays without an issue. Love this printer and its been working well with all my operating systems and Ive upgraded them at least 3 times so I have 3 different versions in the whole house and it works well with each of them without any bugs. Even after all these years, I still have it on my desk and hope it lasts me for at least another few when i have to go to grad school. Also we have an Epson and HP printers in the house that belong to my parents and they never were as reliable for me anyway as this one.

> 24 hourWe purchased the Canon MP480 (all-in-one no fax) along with a new computer purchase late in February so have only had it in service approx 1 month. Set up and putting into service could not have been easier. There was a bit of confusion following the instructions, but determined that the automatic find and initiation was beter than instructions to the point that it seemed seamless. We have a 64 bit Windows Vista computer. The scan/copy aspects are smooth and easy with good interface. We downloaded Adobe PDF plugins for Word so dont know if that is the means by which we can save scanned items directly to PDF but that is neat especailly directly to multi-page documents (Only have Adobe Reader software). They are a bit large in size but efficient. Printing a photo on the included 4x6 print paper was very impressive. Printing in general is pretty fast ... home office with not intensive requirements. The printer is a bit noisy, but knowing that something is not breaking makes it OK. Have not had any ink problems thus far. Other reviewers complained about ink usage. The Amazon $70 with free shipping is a real value ... did not see anything to compare. I read reviews and also determined the Canon was a good buy ... performance wise as well.
