It doesnt seem flimsy at all - I like that the hinges appear quite firm. I have been using it to raise my laptop screen ergonomically, and use with external accessories.

This product would be 100% perfect if it was smaller and less stiff. It takes both hands and lots of pressure to pull it up which can be inconvenient when 16”macbook is on top, and little space to maneuver in a static desk. A better version of this would be easy to adjust size. Also would be nice if it could go lower than it’s minimum lowest height. takes a lot of space for being a laptop raiser. It could definitely be smaller, and maybe lighter.

The stand is strong and can hold a heavy 17 workstation laptop.
