> 3 dayI thought they were going to be a little more translucent but Im still happy with it. I got them to try & cut some things out with my laser. Ive been having a hard time trying to get the settings for materials correct in order to do cuts but these are a little softer and when I found the correct number of passes it cut cleanly & Im super happy with that. The only thing is they are NOT 12x12. They are right at 11 ¹¹/16 x 11 ¹¹/16.

Greater than one weekThe xTool black acrylic is a thin, very translucent plastic sheet. It is 1 mm thick and slightly under 11 3/4 square (297 mm) for the sides. The sheets and thin, but semi-rigid. Theyre more of a smoky gray than black. It is highly translucent, and you can clearly see details behind it almost as if it was as colorless piece of acrylic. There is a high degree of light transmittance, and it is not as dark as most of the ad pictures, perhaps closer to the second picture that shows a light gray. While that is not ideal for diode lasers, the thinness of the acrylic and the even dark coloration allows it to be cut at higher diode power outputs. This works great for decorative art pieces, stencils, building models, etc... but if you plan on making a structural part such as gears, you could cut identical pieces and layer them together at the cost of losing translucency. Overall, it is a thin acrylic. It is very clear, and the color is a lot lighter than expected but it is laser cuttable both by diode and CO2.

> 3 dayI purchased this to try to make earrings with on my laser engraver. I tested out the material on both a 10watt diode laser and a 45watt CO2 laser. The 10watt did an OK job. A little rough around the edges but i think it is due to the laser limitations. I made the same item using a CO2 laser and it cut like butter. So smooth and crisp. Overall, the material was packaged REALLY well and had zero flaws. I will definitely be buying this again in the future.

Greater than one weekI got these for a logo project Im making with the laser. The scattering on this is such that it is very difficult to cut with a 20 watt 455 nm diode laser. It engraves nicely and will cut smaller pieces, but for large pieces (I was doing about 6 x 6 inch parts), the kerf cools down and the material re-flows during a pass so you never get a through cut, no matter how many passes you attempt (I stopped at 11). Because of the scattering with this color, fine details are lost as well because the scattering heats and removes material beyond the normal laser kerf. Update: I will give credit to the company. I was contacted and offered a refund for this product. I really appreciate that kind of customer service.

> 3 daythe listing states its 12x12 however it was 11 5/8 frustating because i needed them to be 12x12 exactly. i did keep them and my laser cut them nicely. no issues with cutting

Greater than one weekI’m a beginner laser user but xTool has great products. This acrylic is easy to cut. I’ve been using these for my wedding projects.

> 3 dayThe acrylic came super quick, and they are of good quality. We plan on making Christmas ornaments with these to give to our teachers. The thickness is right and we like that it has a sheet of sticky on the side of the acrylic to prevent scratches and burn marks from the laser cutter.

> 3 dayAcrylic is exactly as expected. Glossy and scratch free. Comes with a protective coating on both sides that needs to be removed. I had zero issues cutting with my 10W diode laser

> 3 dayI am really excited about this acrylic! As a small business owner who runs a craft/laser shop, I spend far too much time researching acrylic options. It’s nice to have thinner options for use with layering, and with light weight earrings. However the majority of the offerings on the market are either 1/8” or 1/4” thick, with the occasional offerings in the 1/16” category. This is the first 1/25” I’ve seen! So excited about it. I was curious if it would be almost TOO thin, but it has still has a decent weight to it. My one caveat is that 70% of laser mishaps involve burning acrylic, and the thinner the acrylic the easier to catch it on fire. Watch this one like a hawk while using, and definitely start on the faster speed and lower powder side of your settings.

> 3 dayI wasnt sold on the prospect of acrylic this thin being used ed with my diode laser, but the listing and instructions seemed to think otherwise... After ruining more than a few sheets with warping using both the recommended speed from the manufacturer, and trying faster cuts with more passes, Ive ended up with nothing more than piles of scraps. Incant really blame the material, as acrylic usually warps with increasing thermal loads; but again, its strange theyd advertise it for use in such a case. For other projects this seems a perfectly suitable acrylic, and the price is comperable to others here - Id just avoid lasers.
