Greater than one weekIt was a little hard for me to use but I love that I only need one hand to do this. The adhesion could be a bit stronger.

14-11-2024Overall I like using this for my baby. There are some issues though... It is a bit tricky to file my baby’s nails precisely. I recommend getting the mixed package because the newborn files aren’t gritty enough. The adhesive also peels up on the thumb applicator.

> 3 dayThis is probably the best product I’ve bought for my baby. Cutting my baby’s nails is difficult because he’s always moving so much! With the Thumble, I haven’t had to use nail cutters in months. I just file down his nails as part of our morning routine to make sure he has no rough edges. It’s amazing!

> 3 dayI absolutely love this product. I got the kit without the scissors when it was available as they’re unnecessary. The file though - not one peep out of our infant while doing his nails regardless of if they are awake or asleep. So it helps him not scratch himself or us and saves our ears from mercilessly loud screams when we try to cut them. Plus it alleviates the fear we’ll accidentally hurt him because baby nails are so tiny.

> 3 dayI was SO excited to try these as my son is a wiggle worm and does not like for us to trim his nails at all, and getting the angles we need to while he’s asleep is beyond difficult. Unfortunately they did not stay together, the adhesive on the file pads was not sufficient to get them to stick to the thumb file, and the product itself did not work to file his nails. It seemed more like a buffer pad than a file, nothing of note seemed to work and his nails stayed sharp enough to scratch me while he was eating. Back to sleep trimming and filing for us!

> 3 dayNot at as easy to use as we had hoped. Newborn nails are too flimsy for this file to work. Maybe it will work when baby is a bit older

Greater than one weekWonderful product! I am not able to cut my daughters nails so I was filing them with a normal size file. This makes it so much easier. It doesnt hurt her and she doesnt mind it at all.

> 3 dayThis makes filing my babies nails so much easier. I used it on my three month old twins and found that smoother file wasn’t really working too well so I went up to the second level. Their nails seem to grow overnight so this makes it very convenient. I set them on my lap and do it while they’re relaxed or sleepy. Highly recommend.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - 4 SIMPLE STEPS TO SAFE AND EASY FILING OF YOUR BABY"S NAILS

Detach one of the included nail files by gently tearing along the perforated line. |
Peel off the backing to reveal the adhesive layer. When removing the backing off the adhesive part of the nail file make sure you don’t touch the adhesive part. The natural oils found in your skin can affect it’s stickiness. The nail file should stay stuck to the Thumble for the nail filing session. It will eventually pull away from the Thumble when stored away in the pouch/case but can be stuck down again when next needed or you can use a new nail file. |
Press the nail file firmly onto the Thumble making sure to press hard on the edges to ensure a good adhesion. Make sure the nail file is applied to the Thumble correctly. Follow the contour of the Thumble and make sure it doesn’t catch the raised lip above the 3 small holes. |
The Thumble is worn on the thumb. Whilst cradling your baby gently take one of their hands with the hand you are wearing the Thumble on and gently place their hand between your first two fingers. Starting from a corner of the fingernail, file in one sweeping direction along the nail. Once you have smoothed the nail in this direction, then move to the other corner of the nail and gently file in the opposite direction. File in one direction at a time along the contour of the nail until the nail is short. Do not rub or saw the nail file back and forth along the nail. Keep the nail file on the nail making sure you file the nail and not the tender skin under the nail bed. |
