The fabric of the belt insulates so it doesn’t get too hot on the child. It also works as a cool pack, but I haven’t tried it since you would have to leave it in the freezer. This would be inefficient if you are also using as a heat pack. I have been using this with my toddlers. They love the cute animal on the belt and the belt stays secure so they walk around with it on. Whenever they have a tummy ache they ask for the belt. Overall it heats quickly in seconds compared to the bean filled type that take minutes. I really like it as a kids heat pack and it has the option to be used as a cold pack if needed.

Gel pack is a great bonus feature, just a few seconds in the in the microwave and its heated up nicely, instructions on it. I always check, check again and check once more to make sure its not too hot before giving it my little bundle of joy. Overall Im really happy with this, our baby looks so dang cute in it too! Helps my gassy infant sleep, without using this wrap she wakes up a few seconds after I set her down in her Bassinet and cries until I pick her back up.
