120 hz IPS panel is super smooth, 1080p at this size screen looks very nice. Haven’t necessarily used it for gaming yet, but similarly priced laptops that I searched for only have 60hz panels, no dedicated graphics card, and not really any other useful features so this one was the obvious choice, and seems like quite a bargain for what you get

The very month I made my final payment, this thing crapped out. It doesnt even show a charging light when plugged in.

Great buy

I downloaded steam, dota2, and starcraft 2 with all 3 expansions. Played a little starcraft and it was seamless on high graphic. Fans are a little loud but expected. Get speakers or a headset. All and all so far I am super happy!

Played Outer Worlds on Ultra Quality without a problem. Battery lasts easily for 4-5 hours when working on papers for college. Very solid construction. I have owned many computers from Asus. I have yet to have one fail. I have mistreated them at times and never saw a problem. My daughters laptops are both Asus as well. Oldest dropped hers and has had an excited dog drag it of a table by the power cable...screen was fine still runs perfect.

Best gaming laptop

I absolutely love the Asus TUF FX505DT Gaming Laptop. This is the price vs performance sweet spot as far as laptop gaming goes that I look for. Ive tested this laptop with several games and have been pleased with the results.

Had issue with first units wifi card. Was handled quickly, no issues with second unit after replacment. Price is a bit high for what it is. Over all build quality is nice. Screen seems to be the focus as its marketed as 120hz the normal 60hz. Sad part is unless games settings are turned down you cant hit that 120 mark. Recommend getting a second stick of ram and also looking into more storage for it. If caught on deal recommend buy.

the unit is more rigid and military standard tested which i clearly agree . the keys are very good in typing playing etc. The only draw back is the wifi card which constantly drops due to driver issue . most of the units come with Realtek drivers which is wifi adapter and not good as intel wifi drivers.
