Greater than one weekId recently gotten into alternative razor shaving as the cost of even Harrys has gotten a bit out of control. My first shot was buying a straight razor - which is fine if you can consistently keep them honed which is quite a bit of a trick. Id had some good fortune with a cheap straight razor for a few months before my attempts at stropping and honing werent doing me much good other than scraping hair off my face painfully. Around Fathers day I was slumming around my local Dollar Tree for snacks when I noticed the had a straight shaving kit in three parts for a dollar each. Figured Why the hell not and gave that a try. I tell you, even those dollar store blades were pretty dang good. I averaged three to five shaves out of them without any problem other than the learning curve, but Id run out of the introductory set of 5 and needed replacements. Feather? Too expensive. Gillette? No thanks. Ah, lets try these - Just right. Sharp, smooth and only requiring a light touch I dont think Ive had a closer, less irritated shave ever - even when having gone up to quadruple blades with the cartridge shavers - your face feels smooth because of the damn gel, not because its smooth. But here - go down once - *carefully* and go back up *even more carefully* and there isnt even a ghost of a stubble. Just be prepared for a few nicks and make sure you move in straight lines up and down.

> 3 dayI have very thick, coarse hair but also sensitive skin. Ive tried feather but those are too aggressive and also a handful of others that wouldnt cut my hair as well. These hit the sweet spot for me. Still very sharp but still good for my skin and not overly priced either. These are my go-to blade for the foreseeable future.

> 3 dayThese are great for the value. I can’t believe I use to use disposable razors. You get so many for the pice of four disposables and they last so long. I keep mine in the shower and it has been a month and it has no rust on it.

Greater than one weekI have been using feather blades strictly for 10 years. They were my go to after trying a few other blades at the beginning of my double edged safety blade shaving journey. I always saw these Astra blades with great reviews when it would be time to order more blades. Well feather prices have gone up and with the rising cost of everything else I figured I would try something cheaper just to save a few bucks. I am so glad I did. These blades are far superior in the comfort department. I would only be able to get one pass in with the grain using feather blades because they were so aggressive. I never experienced a baby smooth shave that everyone talked about and I was perfectly content just shaving everyday with one pass. Until now. I managed 4 passes in different directions with these Astra blades with zero irritation! My face has never felt this smooth and I love it! There will be no going back to feather blades for this guy.
