I’ve been using this protein powder for months in my everyday smoothies and the flavor is great. The only downside is the price keeps steadily increasing to where it’s not worth the hike for the 2lb amount you’re given. Lower the price back down to $30 then I’ll resume buying once a month.

I Like this stuff. I only buy the vanilla flavor so I cannot comment on the others - I like the taste - like a slightly sweeter Muscle Milk without the chalky aftertaste. Some friends find the taste of Stevia too sweet and a bit metallic, but I dont notice it. Ah, but you MUST drink it cold. I mix 3 scoops with a few ice cubes and 40 ounces of water in an insulated water bottle and shake it up manually - it mixes well. Not as filling as some of the plant based powders but thats not what Im looking for. I have heard it foams up something crazy in a blender but I never blend it.

I am a big fan of this product and the other flavors. My favorite chocolate flavored protein I have tried. I just mix it with almond milk or milk and my kids call it a “milkshake”. I use it after a workout or sometimes just for breakfast on the way out the door. The lemon sorbet is great with a fruit smoothie.

Im impressed with the ingredients, both the types and quantities. Just a handful of ingredients vs. 20+ with other proteins. The product smells like cocoa, a very faint cocoa, but it just smells like a real food. As weird as it probably sounds, I like that it doesnt have sand in it, like most protein mixes. I know the sand used in other protein mixes is safe to consume, but I never really enjoyed the thought that I was drinking sand. I drink this type of stuff for sustenance, so Im not too picky on the taste, but it actually has a decent taste. With 8 ounces of water, its too thin to taste like much. 6 ounces of water and you can taste the chocolate a little more, its good enough, but certainly not great. With 4 ounces of water, it just tastes like a hot chocolate drink that has cooled. This is the first protein powder Ive tried where it actually tastes good with just 4 ounces of water. The less liquid I have to drink to get the protein Im looking for, the happier I am. Others have more sugar or sugar substitute added so that it tastes better based on the 8 ounce standard. This has less sugar and so it cant support that much liquid and still taste good. I dont see it as a problem though because now its just like a quick shot of chocolate protein and Im good. Not some drink that Im trying to choke down. My only complaint is the packaging. I cant stand these bags that some protein manufacturers use. Maybe its more environmentally friendly, I dont know. I ended up pouring it into a large tupperware type container thats used for storing flour. Protein needs to be shaken up every now and then and its risky to do so with these types of bags because they are very hard to seal. So put it in a solid contain so you can shake it up without flinging protein dust everywhere. Good stuff though. After 10 years of consuming maybe 30 different brands of protein, I think Ive found a good one here.

I have been making morning smoothies with Ascent since March 2019. Never disappointed. Love Vanilla Bean, Strawberry (it’s a shame that it is only available a few months each year and only in 2 lb. bags), and Mocha Cold Brew (again, a4lb. bag would be welcomed. Was disappointed in Lemon Sorbet which I thought I would love. Haven’t tried other flavors. Vanilla Bean works well with any fruit.

The product itself seems to be good. Mixes well and tastes decent. But packaging would not seal back after opening. Had to put it inside a Ziploc bag to keep it fresh.
