It took me forever to decide buying this because the price tag is pretty high for something that doesnt protect the edges of the ipad.

I waited to write this review for a while to see how everything holds up. Here’s what I think. First of all If this is all you read the keyboard is amazing, the backlights are nice, the material and build quality is incredible. The hinge is tight and nothing wobbles. In my opinion this product changes the game with the IPad Pro. Nothing is close to this, its in its own league. With that said its 300 dollars(YIKES).If you logically think about it the only reason you would buy an iPad Pro is to work on it. The price is a lot but if you compare to other laptops it adds up to about the same. 1,200 for the pencil, the keyboard, and the iPad. This setup gives me so much freedom and I love it. The trackpad experience is great and will continue to get better. The typing experience is simply the best I’ve tried. It’s just as good if not better than the MacBooks. When I first got it, I was concerned about the protection it offers. Don’t be, its great as well. The amount of people who have tried it and said good things is kind of funny. They as “what mac is this.” The only complaint I have is that the viewing angles aren’t amazing and that the port on the keyboard cannot transfer data. If you have the money, you wont regret this at all. I seriously think that this is in a league of its own, and no its not really close.

I chose the Logitech foilio first. Both folios had their advantages and disadvantages so I went with the cheaper option. In the end two issues with the Logitech pushed me back to apple. 1. You have to use the little flap kickstand to prop the screen up which made it awkward when using it on my lap or in bed. 2. The Logitech allows you to flip the keyboard completely back to allow for the iPad to be used as a normal tablet. However, its very awkward to hold and there’s no way to really hold it without hitting the keys. You can just remove the iPad but its a little annoying to get in and out of that case. So I saw this case on sale for $199 and I jumped on it. I definitely like it better overall. The Logitech still has some benefits over the apple which is why I gave the apple 4 stars. For my needs its the better option. The screen holds itself up and the iPad is super easy to remove since its held by magnets. It’s also thinner which I like, but I understand others don’t and prefer the thicker more protective Logitech case. Last thing is the magnetic strap to hold the pencil in place. That’s a feature apple should have included. However there are 3rd party pencil holders that you can stick on the back of the case. I may go that route at some point, but as of now I don’t want to use adhesive on my new case. So in the end I’m happy I saw this on sale and it works great for my needs. At the sale price it was a no brainer for me, but even at the normal price if had to do it over again I would pay the $299.

The magnet that holds the iPad is very strong, I don’t worry about it falling off. It allows the pen to be held on top of the iPad. There is a second charging port in the stand. It provides no fall protection. But the trackpad increases functionality a lot. Very much worth it if you need your iPad to be more like a laptop.

Nice integration with iPad making it easier to get work done. Tilting back so much better than the propped up version that was never quite right and always being nocked down.
