AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Blazing fast with great thermals. Unfortunately since Covid-19, there are no great values. It cost more than it should have, but I am not going to complain too much given the great performance. The increased efficiency on the single core side has helped immensely with cpu intensive games.

This thing can game, it can stream easily, and process videos with ease. Highly recommend amongst content creators.

Got a really good deal on it during prime day sale.

Acheté en solde pour le montage dun nouveau pc, principalement pour du montage vidéo et un peu de jeux. Pas encore eu loccasion de le tester à fond mais de ce que jai pu voir jusquà présent (testé principalement en montage) ce processeur semble être un véritable monstre. Il fait en 10min ce que mon vieux i5 faisait en une soirée !

Ayant un Ryzen 2700x qui fonctionnait bien mais commençant à se faire vieux, jai profité dune réduction sur ce modèle pour passer le pas, ayant besoin de performances pour la génération dimages en masse. Bien men a pris car ce 5900x me le rend bien! Je navais jamais changé un processeur de ma vie et je nétais pas fier au moment de le faire avec cette bête à presque 400€...Finalement, en suivant les nombreux tutoriaux vidéos sur le net et sans se précipiter, ça se fait bien! Couplé à un deepcool, il ne chauffe pas. Je suis très heureux de ce produit et je recommande AMD, qui permet de conserver sa carte mère et faire évoluer son PC 4 ans après!

Got lucky and managed to snag one for Cyber Monday. Installation was straightforward, and stability out of the box was not a problem. However, coming from an Intel processor, I was surprised to see that the processor runs hot both while idle (~45-50 C) and under load (~72 C). After confirming that my thermal solution was properly installed and doing some quick Googling, it seems this is normal for Ryzen chips. In fact, AMD says up to 90 C under load is normal. Old habits die hard and Im still a bit wary, but I cant deny that it absolutely demolishes anything Ive thrown at it so far compared to my old Intel CPU (and admittedly long-in-the-tooth 6700k). Ill keep an eye on the thermals for a while longer, but Im very happy so far.

Beautiful bord however the chipset fan only works if I spin it by hand and the rgb controller in the board backs out on the ram so the ram rgb will freeze red and blue a full restart will fix it for a few hours. These were out of the box issues not over time issues
