AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I have not found anything this CPU cant handle. I have it overclocked with a liquid cooler and it runs like a champ!

I originally had an x370 with a 1700 and it was great for the past 2 years. I upgraded to a 3900x with msi x570 meg ace. After booting up with my existing linux nvme, it has been rock solid stable and very performant. I did need to update systemd to get the system to boot normally. Although this was quite simple by using an older arch linux iso.

Easily 30% increase in single core speed, and more than double in multi thread. Yes, a 24 threaded CPU is 2X a 16 thread CPU. In games that favored Intel that I played, Killing floor 2 and Insurgency saw a massive uplift. I no longer get dips below 100fps I used to get with Zen 1. I can finally stream with SLOW preset and get 0% FPS drop. I can only do FAST on the 1700.

I just got the computer up and running, so far so good.

I likely wont need an upgrade from this anytime soon. I upgraded from a 2700x and it was great but I ended up building a slightly new rig and donating the old parts to my brother.

I love this cpu! I work in photoshop, Clip Studio Paint and game at 1440p. The performance is quick and snappy on all these applications. I have not gotten it up to its max boost of 4.6mhz, but it comes really close (4.5). I really have no complaints or criticisms about this part. It was super simple to install into my Taichi x570 board. Recommend a triple radiator though and make sure you got at least 3200mhz ram speed (3600mhz recommended).

Non ho mai provato un processore così potente. Lo accendi e sei praticamente all’1% di utilizzo, fai partire discord, 400 pagine Google, Warzone in 4K, rendeRizzi un video con premiere in 2K e sta solamente al 20%! Una cosa assurda ! Mai mandato più forte del 25% e fidatevi è un’impresa! Portato a 100 solo col benchmark test e li anche con un dissipatore 3 ventola ho visto picchi di 90C, accettabile ma si potrebbe fare di più ! Estremamente consigliato ma solo per i più smanettoni e per chi non vuole compromessi su nulla !

installato su una b450 e dissipato con un aio 240 in un case mini itx,il passaggio da un 2600x a questo 3900x e stato impressionante per le prestazioni in single core,per quelle multithread e anche per gli fps con i giochi.

This CPU is a powerhouse. I recently upgraded my PC for gaming / content creation / photography. I am running a 3900X 12 core Ryzen with 128GB G Skill 3600 RAM, and 10 HDD, and my old 1070 from previous build. This CPU is solid, and the stock cooler handles things well. It is a little loud out of the box because the fan is stock set to ramp up and down as CPU temps rise, but using the software / bios allows you to make a much better fan curve to keep the PC much more silent. (Probably should be like this as stock). My advice is to have a solid line on the graph until 62 degrees, then a steep line up to 75 degrees at which point max fans would kick in. This stops the fan ramping activity I saw out of the box.

Adobe works much better with I9... nobody told me now I kinda regret buying this processor.
