AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I went back and forth considering Intel or AMD, but ultimately I had to put my money where it would get me the most bang for my buck and AMD will save you hundreds of dollars over Intel. I went with this Ryzen 7 3800x so I could have all the power that one might need for a new gaming PC. I use my PC for gaming on ultra settings and I havent found any need to mess with overclocking options yet, but the fact that theyre so conveniently available for future use is nice. Installation was a breeze and the fan that it comes with has done a great job at keeping the CPU cool along with the 5 case fans I have installed.

Im conviced this is a complete scam, the first processor that i recieved would not function fresh out of the box and the replacement that i got after that came without a prcessor entirely, it just came with the heatsinc.

If you have done you research, you know that the AMD Ryzen series are well reviewed and have gotten a lot of feedback from various types of users. I purchased the Ryzen 7 3800X for use in a computer I build for graphic design and video creation that I will also game with. I use the Adobe Creative Cloud and it is a highly recommended CPU for what I was looking to do. The 8/16 core/thread count will easily handle video, animation, Photoshop and 3D CAD software I use. Less serious workflows could use the Ryzen 5 3600X , a great value for the price. If you are interested in my build, I listed it below. It was based on weeks of research and calls to friends who game and fellow designers.

No cooler you are kidding me

Ryzen 7 3800X is the best CPU that I have ever had. I have an all core O.C. of 4.45 @1.325V stable. Stock it will boost to 4.525 and will do it on all cores but it hits nearly 1.5V (insane) even if AND says its normal. The amazon box itself was sealed very well but the amd box was opened, i looked inside a nice shiny new fan.. cool... pull it out... no AMD ryzen 7 cpu which is basically 90% of the cost of this product.. ordered this for prime day.. so before it left the warehouse in Mississauga, the box was opened! (SAD PANDA) my pc build I wanted to do for the weekend :( :(

Love the speed and ease of installation of the processor. Would have been 5 stars all around except the free Epic games are not accessible. Terrible interface by AMD and EPIC. Spent over 4 hours trying to download Borderlands 3, longer than it took me to build my computer. Using Win10 Home. AMD verification of processor would not work on my regular network, switched to hot spot on my phone to complete. Parts of installation would not run on Edge, so switched to Explorer and Chrome. Various installation steps worked in each browser, but it took all three to be successful to the point of acquiring game. Was able to redeem game coupon from Epic and their site is terrible. To run it, you must install Epic Game Launcher - would not install and got the 3rd message. So game is not actually downloaded and when I tried to retrieve it again said coupon had been used. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT EPIC!!!! So my free games cant be used. If you consider that in the purchase price, one should get a refund for the game value. Why AMD ever teamed up with such a company where there can be no communication and error filled software is beyond me. Id buy the processor in a minute (realizing there is no free software), but a frustrating experience that marred my experience with AMD.

Installation was quite easy as the included cooler comes with thermal paste already applied, no need to buy additional thermal paste. The cooler fan is very silent.
