AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

The cpu is awesome and works well my only gripe is the cooler is a pain to install.

We upgraded from 2600x in our b350f motherboard. Very straight forward and the performance increase is significant. The cooler included is beautiful and very effective. Highly recommended.

The CPU I received was defective. My mother bored was giving me a 07 postcode, which indicated ram issues. but, the ram was not the issue I just pulled it out of my old computer and it worked fine. I pulled out my old CPU a AMD 5 2600 and it posted right away while using the same ram. I found other thread on line that that had the same issue. I did make sure to update the Bios before switching to the old CPU to make sure that was not the issue. Base on the other Reviews I am have seen I should gone with the 3700X .

Fast, fairly quiet, good value. This is a great CPU. I picked it up for a slight discount around Black Friday weekend. The included HSF is reasonably quiet until you max out all the cores, and even then it really isn’t bad. The install was mostly ok but mine arrived with the CPU firmly wedged into the plastic carrier. The pins were bent due to the packaging or I bent them when struggling to get it out. Either way, it was mostly annoying but a little scary bending pins on a several hundred dollar CPU.
